Wonder Woman 1984 is fast approaching, and it won't be long until we finally get to see the long-delayed DC Comics movie. The sequel will arrive in UK cinemas on December 16th before hitting the big screen and HBO Max in the U.S. on Christmas Day.

Now, tickets have finally gone on sale for Patty Jenkins' movie (meaning, yes, it really is being released this month), and we have a visually stunning new IMAX poster to prove it.

It's not surprising that the Golden Eagle armour is once again highlighted, though we definitely would have liked to see Diana Prince's original costume factor a little more heavily into Wonder Woman 1984's marketing campaign. After all, that is "classic" Wonder Woman and her most iconic look.

Regardless, this is a great poster, and we're no doubt going to learn much more about the sequel in the coming weeks as Warner Bros. goes all out to build hype for that December 25th release.

Looks awesome! The color palette reminds me of the Thor Ragnarok poster (you know the one).

"IMAX sequences shot with IMAX film cameras!"

No way! I hear that's quite rare for an IMAX sequence.

@GwenLantern - To be fair to WB marketing, a lot of times movies presented in the IMAX format are shot with big digital Arri cameras - not 70mm IMAX film stock like WW84 is. Lol that 90% of the world will see it on their computers instead 😂

@tmp3 - I keep repressing the fact they refer to any kind of digital as IMAX. And you're probably being generous saying computers. I'll bet a large percentage even watch it on their phones.
