As of right now, we don't know whether Wonder Woman 1984 is still going to be released on June 5th as planned, especially as COVID-19 doesn't appear to be going away anytime soon. We were expecting another trailer for the DC Comics adaptation to be released in time for Black Widow's arrival in theaters, but we simply don't know whether the marketing campaign is now continuing as normal.
Something many fans were anticipating seeing in that next sneak peek was a shot of Kristen Wiig as Cheetah. Up until now, Warner Bros. has been going to great lengths to keep the villain under wraps, but a leaked Funko Pop gives us a better idea of how Cheetah will end up looking on screen.
It both is and isn't a comic book accurate take on the character, and you can see that director Patty Jenkins has gone for a somewhat realistic take on Cheetah for Wonder Woman 1984.
Dr. Barbara Minerva's transformation is shrouded in secrecy, but we're just hoping at this point that her villainous persona doesn't wind up looking like an extra from Cats! After all, it would be a disaster for this sequel if Diana Prince's foe winds up being a point of ridicule among moviegoers.
