Reviews for Wonder Woman 1984 have been pouring in since the embargo lifted yesterday evening, and Rotten Tomatoes has now officially announced that Patty Jenkins' sequel has been certified "Fresh."

Wonder Woman 1984 has now been officially certified "Fresh" on Rotten Tomatoes.

Patty Jenkins' superhero sequel earned an initial score of 87% on the review aggregator when the first batch of reactions dropped yesterday, and that hasn't fluctuated a whole lot since. The movie now sits at a very respectable 89% with 82 reviews counted in total (73 "Fresh," and 9 "Rotten").

Diana's (Gal Gadot) second solo outing clearly struck the right chord with the majority of critics, but a small minority didn't care for it at all. A few minor issues aside, both myself and Josh enjoyed it quite a bit.

RealD 3D has also debuted some exclusive artwork for the movie, though the poster reuses a familiar image.

Wonder Woman 1984 hits cinemas in the UK and Ireland today, before releasing in theatres and on HBO Max simultaneously in the US on December 25. Tell us, do you guys plan on checking it out? If so, will it be on the big screen or at home?

This looks fun! Kind of a George Perez-era Wonder Woman comic. Hopefully it delivers!

Watched it last night in IMAX and really enjoyed it! Won't give anything away but don't expect any tie-ins to the rest of the DCEU characters. It's totally a standalone movie.

@LeonStGiovanni - Glad you liked it. How was the action?

We are going Saturday morning - can't wait!

@LeonStGiovanni - Thanks for the feedback. I wouldn't expect WB/DC to tie-in the rest of the DCEU characters. What we saw in the post-credit scene for Shazam was a cruel pump-fake.

@LeonStGiovanni - How packed was your theater? Here in NYC we still don't have theaters open, so I'm just curious how smooth runnings are with open cinemas.

@MosquitoFarmer - I would say about 40% capacity. I'm in Jersey and have been able to go to the movies recently without feeling anxious about the audience sizes. AMC seems to be running things as smoothly and safely as possible.

Man.. I wasn’t looking forward to this at ALL but the recent reviews + talk of Donner-inspired scenes make me really eager to watch it

Sucks that I literally won’t be able to until it comes out on Blu Ray... they really fumbled the Canadian release of this

@DaHyro - the Donner stuff is actually doing a different effect on me. Never cared about those Superman movies tbh

@Battabing - Thanks for letting me know! I didn’t see that news.

I still shouldn’t watch it, though. It’s gonna be $30 here to rent it for two days, but that’s literally the same price as buying it to own. There is no reason to buy this at all

Damn. Patty Jenkins loves WW and it shows. Matt Reeves loves Batman and it shows. Why can't we get the same love for the OG
