WONDER WOMAN Sequel Reportedly Set To Start Shooting As Soon As This May In The UK

While it was previously reported that Warner Bros. was aiming for a summer shoot, it seems they've now settled on an exact date and location to commence production on the upcoming Wonder Woman sequel...

The sequel to the DC Extended Universe's biggest success yet, Wonder Woman, is currently set to hit theatres on November 1st, 2019. We had heard that Warner Bros. was aiming for a summer production schedule now that the story had been settled upon, thanks to confirmation by producer Charles Roven, who said in an interview with Comicbook.com:

We're in what I would call development of the screenplay." Roven said. "We finally, I think, have a good story to tell. Not kind of – we do believe we have a good story to tell. And then we're also just moving out of what normally we would call soft prep into hard prep. We're hoping to start shooting the movie sometime this summer, and hope to have it out by the end of '19.

According to Omega Underground, Warner Bros. has finally decided upon an exact date and location to begin shooting the Wonder Woman sequel. Apparently, they plan on getting the cameras rolling as soon as May 28th, beginning in the United Kingdom. Wonder Woman will be the second of three DC Extended Universe projects to begin shooting this year, with Shazam! already in production and Suicide Squad 2 also set to begin filming later in the year.

It was also recently revealed that Warner Bros. is looking for a big name to fill the role of Cheetah in the film, and at the moment it seems they're in talks with Ghostbusters star Kristen Wiig. Director Patty Jenkins is still on-board to helm the sequel, and it appears it's quickly coming together. Hopefully it'll be just as good, if not better than the first which was both a critical and financial success.

What's your take on the recent Wonder Woman 2 news? Are you looking forward to it?
