There's been a lot of talk lately about Marvel cancelling the Fantastic Four comic book ahead of the movie next year, and a recently released teaser made it appear as if the X-Men could be next. One interview even surfaced which featured legendary writer Chris Claremont seemingly confirming past reports that Marvel creators have been banned from coming up with any new mutants in a bid to stop Fox from benefitting from them. Well, not so according to Brian Michael Bendis (via Newsarama). "If you've been reading my books, almost every character is a new one. I'm not exactly sure where that's coming from. I'm constantly creating new X-Men to put them in the toy box. I've been doing it constantly." That's very true, but there's no getting around the fact that the X-Men are being pushed aside as Marvel continues to focus on the characters they do hold the rights to particularly when it comes to merchandise and placement in teasers for upcoming stories.

Regardless, the comics aren't going anywhere just yet and Hero Complex have the scoop on the return of one fan-favourite villain early next year; The Juggernaut! "This story has two leads, Colossus and Cain Marko, two very different men that have possessed the power of the Juggernaut before, and who have both suffered for it," reveals Amazing X-Men writer Christopher Yost. "When we catch up with Cain, he’s still big and somewhat strong, but nowhere near to what he was with the Juggernaut’s power. But he’s turned his back on the supervillain — it’s brought him nothing but trouble. He’s found peace. And that’s when the Gem comes back of course." The arc - titled "The Once And Future Juggernaut" - wil see a number of other characters vying for the mantle as well. What are your thoughts on this news? Sound off below!
