I'm glad they didn't. The less ground that Fox tread means more story opportunity for Marvel Studios.

@TheManWithoutFear - AND, it, like in a perfect world, Adolf Hitler was stillborn.

@TheManWithoutFear - I bet they didn't go forth because a couple of suits with a large stake in the company saw it as a risk and saw only a loss in financial earnings.

Kevin Feige saw past that. He saw without take a risk you would never know what could work. And 11 years later we witnessed the greatest superhero film of all time: Avengers Endgame.

Uh-huh. Sure.

Keep in mind this would have been a few years after “X-men Origins: Wolverine”, so that’s the “Deadpool” that Fox had back then.

@Chewtoy - the idea was that origins simply explained his scarring and healing powers. He would have been in reynolds control so the end result wouldve been more or less the deadpool we know now. The only difference would be that it would be pg13, but they seemed really proud of a draft of the first deadpool that was also pg13.

@Origame - There is literally no way that 2011’s Ryan Reynolds would have had significant control over the script or the production design of a massive film featuring the X-men, the Fantastic Four, and Daredevil. Odds are Deadpool was barely in this script, if it even existed.

This scriptwriter was one of 4 that worked on “First Class”, and one of six that worked on “Thor”, and has no other theatrical credits since. I take everything about this story with a huge grain of salt, and filter what might be true with the knowledge of the Fox studio we were talking about... the one that made Origins: Wolverine, Fant4stic, let Daredevil go to seed and then revert to Marvel, etc.

Something similar can happen, but Fox will not be there to spoil it.

I want to see something that includes the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Captain Marvel, Nick Fury, Silver Surfer and Galactus.

@Repian - This will occur. It will. I will not be alive to see it. But it will occur.

@Repian - I see Captain Marvel taking full control of The Avengers with S.W.O.R.D acting as their command base for space adventures.

@Superspecialawesomeguy - I wouldn't trust FOX to pull something of this magnitude off.

With prayer that movie can still happen in the mcu. Maybe in the mcu the xmen and ff already know eachother and the street level heroes. What if instead of trying to stop GALACTUS he is already the world giver instead of the world eater? Think about it everyone exprcgd the next big thing to be galactic and y'all know how marvel is. Maybe they would all be helping him get to that point and he in turn helps them deal with the threat of the film. Bring in silver surfer to, there is already a theory that he's hiding in the quantum realm from galactus- I know that theory throws mine into an abyss but if we change it to where he is actually helping the black knight then I think we're good.

"Fox was planning"? Let's be honest here: planning was never something Fox did.

Rushed mediocre/terrible team-up movie made to cash in? Sounds like Fox's version of the Justice League movie. No

@Spock0Clock - Question : If a movie gets cancelled mid-shoot, do the producers get back their money?

I'm asking as I've made some investment in some uhmmm movie, and the actress has refused any bareback scenes.
bropous
bropous - 6/1/2019, 8:41 AM
@DwightKGroot - Prducersdo not get back their money.

But, then again, actresses NEVER get back their bareback time...
