Hugh Jackman Is Finally Going To Don Wolverine's Classic Costume...For Halloween Hugh Jackman Is Finally Going To Don Wolverine's Classic Costume...For Halloween

Hugh Jackman is officially done with the role of Wolverine after starring in Logan but the actor has finally promised to don the character's classic blue and yellow costume (not on the big screen, though).

Hugh Jackman had a stellar run as Wolverine but one thing which has always disappointed fans is that the actor never donned the beloved X-Man's classic yellow and blue costume. It was never even really hinted at  - aside from in a deleted scene from The Wolverine - and while the hope was that he might put a version of it on in Logan, that didn't happen and with Jackman hanging up the claws, it never will.

Well, unless you're hanging around with the actor over Halloween! As you can see below, Jackman has taken to social media to reveal that he's finally considering wearing the costume on October 31st.

There's a very good chance he's just kidding around here but how awesome would it be if Jackman were to share a photo of himself in this suit on Halloween? It wouldn't exactly be the same as seeing him wear a decent version in a movie but the possibility of that happening has now come and gone and is something we should all probably forget about. He's having fun with us, but I'd love to see him do it because he would go to town putting that thing together. Plus he could probably convince Reynolds to dress as Deadpool for a facetime or something at the very least.

I honestly do think the suit would look weird on his height, no matter the level of "modernising"/"FOX-ing" on it to be done.

They lost the opportunity of explaining a possible Samurai origin for the outfit in The Wolverine.

But honestly I just quit expecting classic X-Men outfits onscreen. When it happens (Psylocke) it's dissonant to the rest so [frick] it.

@Fogs - There was an attempt at the end of age of apocalypse, but it looked awful.

1. He has not "finally promised", given that the caption reads "maybe".
2. His hashtag also says that he's too tall for the photographed costume, so it's almost certainly not gonna happen.

So my question is: why would you tease it with something 100% false?
