THE NEW MUTANTS Gets A Couple Of Intriguing New Teasers Which Might Reference Maisie Williams' Wolfsbane
On the heels of the first trailer for The New Mutants, the X-Men spin-off's official Twitter page has shared a couple of intriguing new teasers which may contain references to Wolfsbane (Maisie Williams).
The first trailer for 20th Century Fox's X-Men spin-off, The New Mutants, dropped a couple of weeks ago, and since then the movie's official Twitter page has posted the following additional teasers.
They're very brief (actually more like gifs), but the imagery and accompanying text has led to speculation that they might be referencing Rahne Sinclair, a.k.a. Wolfsbane, who will be played by Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams.
THE NEW MUTANTS: Get Better Acquainted With The 5 Team Members And The Actors That Play Them
Rahne is a deeply religious girl who has led a very sheltered life, and this could explain the crucifixes and the "sins of our past". In addition, "some things can't be caged" seems like a more obvious reference to the beast Sinclair becomes when she unleashes her rage.
We could be way off here, but have a look for yourselves and let us know what you think.
The New Mutants is set to hit theatres next April.
