UPDATE: First Trailer For 300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE To Debut In March?

UPDATE: First Trailer For 300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE To Debut In March?

While we haven't heard any major news from the 300 follow-up in a while, a new report suggests that the first trailer will be attached to G.I. Joe: Retaliation. We also have word on when the second Oblivion trailer (And other CBM trailers) debuts.

Since it began filming last summer, news for Warner Bros.' 300: Rise Of An Empire has been relatively quiet. However, with its August 2nd release date coming closer, it appears that the marketing for the upcoming follow-up to Zack Snyder's Frank Miller adaptation will be beginning soon. According to Russian site Stark Industries, the first trailer for the film will be attached to Paramount's G.I. Joe: Retaliation when the 3D sequel hits theaters on March 29th. Additionally, the site reveals that the second trailer for Universal's sci-fi film Oblivion, which stars Tom Cruise and is set for an April 19th release (April 12th exclusively in IMAX), is expected to be released in mid-February. While it hasn't been officially confirmed yet, a Super Bowl spot for the Joseph Kosinski-directed movie is a good possibility. Be sure to stay tuned to CBM for more news on both trailers.

300: Rise Of An Empire stars Rodrigo Santoro, Eva Green and Sullivan Stapleton. The film is set to hit theaters August 2nd this year.

UPDATE: Via Emileeid and again Stark Industries, we have some more potential trailer debut details. Many thanks to Many thanks to @Movie_Maniac_ for the heads up.

02/12/2012 - Oblivion (trailer, maybe later)
19/02/2012 - Kick-Ass 2 (Teaser Trailer)
03/07/2012 - Iron Man 3 (trailer, possibly earlier)
29/03/2012 - 300: Rise Of An Empire (Teaser Trailer)

Additionally, Stark Industries claims that the third trailer for Man Of Steel and the first teaser for Thor: The Dark World will premiere in April.

Tonight we’ve got exclusive word on upcoming trailers set to be released in the coming days and months, including the incredible line-up of Warner Brothers. First up the first trailer from The Hangover 3 is set to debut this coming weekend, I’d probably say at the super bowl, followed by a new trailer from Oblivion to be released mid February. Next we’ll be seeing the first trailer from The Conjuring this March, as well as the first trailer from 300: Rise OF An Empire which will be attached to G.I Joe Retaliation. We will also be getting the first trailer from Gravity this May, as well as the first teaser from the 3D LEGO movie. Also this May we will get our first look at The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug, probably with either Great Gatsby or Hangover 3. Also word is that the first trailer from The Wolverine will be debuting with A Good Day To Die Hard. Finally the full trailer from Fast Six will debut on February 6 and will be attached to Identity Thief! [Via Emileeid]

Keep in mind that none of these details have been officially confirmed yet, so take most of this info with a grain of salt.

Meh. I don't have any interest in this movie at all. If it gets good reviews I might watch it at matinee price.
ElShumway - 1/30/2013, 5:56 AM
Don't care. When will the next MOS trailer debut? And don't say IM3 because that is way too late, less than 6 weeks before opening u mad, it's going to be 10-12 weeks as it always is.
GodzillaKart - 1/30/2013, 6:05 AM
Wow. A sequel to 300.

That's like if in Jurassic Park, right after they found the huge stinking pile of shit, they walked a little further on and found an even bigger and stinkier pile of shit.

Why o' why?
RyGoR - 1/30/2013, 6:06 AM
As long as we get more slow motion boobies I'll be fine :)
Spideyguy94 - 1/30/2013, 6:07 AM
@GordonShumway TDKR and TASM 3rd trailer was attached to the avengers. They will release it next to iron man 3 because its the first real big release of the year. They are following the marketing plan of TDKR. Release a teaser for the big july movie that shows barely anything, release the 2nd trailer for the big WB Christmas release and release the last one for the movie that kicks off the summer movie season.
ElShumway - 1/30/2013, 6:12 AM

A trailer can be attached to IM3 but that doesn't mean it will debut with it. Just like I saw the MOS teaser with Skyfall even though it debut with TDKR. And didn't TDKR have a fourht, slightly different version of the 3rd trailer out with TASM?

Anyway, WB won't wait until IM3 to debut the 3rd trailer. Way too late. It will debut mid to late march. Bet on it.

If you didn't like 300,you don't need to post here. If you would rather see another trailer, then you don't need to post here.
ElShumway - 1/30/2013, 6:53 AM
I and the others will post wherever the [frick] we want and not where your retarded ass tells us you got that you little storytelling dipshit???
defenderofthefaith - 1/30/2013, 7:00 AM
If I am reading this correctly then IM3 will have a new trailer on March 7? Just in time for Oz, the great and powerful. Even more of an incentive to see Oz.
GodzillaKart - 1/30/2013, 7:13 AM
@Nomis: Cheers!
GodzillaKart - 1/30/2013, 7:15 AM
300 was Snyder at his worst. All style no substance.
Maximus101 - 1/30/2013, 7:24 AM
Man you are impossible Godzilla, 300 was epic with sooo many badass lines. You would really have to try hard to not like it.
JatevinM - 1/30/2013, 7:25 AM
It may just be me but I honestly have no interest in this movie. I liked 300 and maybe a trailer will give me some excitement for it but as of right now I wont be jumping up to go and see it.
GodzillaKart - 1/30/2013, 7:43 AM
@Maximus101: I'm not impossible, I'm just picky. I found 300 to be absurdly silly. Even worse in that it was based on, and had little connection to, a real badass event.
TheGambitFreak - 1/30/2013, 7:48 AM
Godzillafart: Sorry to correct you, but you are extremely ill-informed. 300 is not based on the events of the War of Thermopylae. Snyder's 300 is based on the Graphic Novel that is a fictitious re-imagining of the battle of Thermopylae by Frank Miller. Read that comic, then you might have a little bit more fondness of 300...
GodzillaKart - 1/30/2013, 8:20 AM
@TheGambitFreakIsBatmanOfCBM : Sorry to be unclear. I am aware and have read Miller's 300, which I also thought was silly and some of Miller's worst work. But, to each their own.
YoungThanos - 1/30/2013, 9:45 AM
300 was still better than Wolverine Origins I know that much and will be seeing it day one. Who cares who doesn't like it! Let'em stay home and fart...
Tony93 - 1/30/2013, 10:22 AM
I was hoping MOS trailer 3 will debut in March??
JacksonVegaIII - 1/30/2013, 10:40 AM
300 was great, smart no but still a ridiculously enjoyable ultra violent visually superb homo erotic epic. Hopefully the second will live up to the original...

300 and Sin City are near perfect examples of how comic book films should be done (admittedly Sin City is the better example). Get the page on the screen! Dont bother trying to ground them in some misguided idea of 'reality'

Fassbenders shouty outburst at the beginning of 300 is both a perfect indicator of the ridiculousness to come and almost unbearably cringe worthy, who wouldve thought he'd become one of his generations most talented and sought after actors

really looking forward to this film
Durf - 1/30/2013, 12:26 PM
I had actually forgotten the 300 sequel was coming out. Maybe that's because I thought the first one was just ok and overhyped. That's probably it...

Anyway, I want that new IM3 trailer soon! And the MOS trailer is probably in March
GodzillaKart - 1/30/2013, 1:13 PM
@YoungThanos: I will be home farting away...and hopefully watching a good movie. :P
Durf - 1/30/2013, 1:34 PM
@imadick: I mean by the general public. should have specified
GodzillaKart - 1/30/2013, 1:53 PM
For the record: Although I am not a fan of 300, I understand how someone could enjoy it in a big dumb action movie kind of way. Just not my thing.
BlueDemon - 1/30/2013, 2:53 PM
Ugh pretentious bastards

I'm hoping this movie doesn't suck ass. The first one inspired me to workout and kick people into wells. FOR SPARTA!!!

Greggmcg - 1/30/2013, 4:57 PM
This movie just seems unneccesary to me. I love the first one but really can't get myself to care about this one.
