Steven Spielberg Promises He Won't Kill Off Harrison Ford's INDIANA JONES In The Fifth Movie

J.J. Abrams broke our hearts when he killed Han Solo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but now Steven Spielberg has promised that Indiana Jones won't be meeting a similar fate in his next movie...

Harrison Ford was a little old to play Indiana Jones in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull if we're being honest, and at 73, it's now hard to imagine what he'll realistically be able to bring to the table in the planned fifth instalment of the franchise. However, one thing the Steven Spielberg helmed release won't be is a final farewell for the character as the director has promised that Indy isn't about to meet his maker.

"I think this one is straight down the pike for the fans. The one thing I will tell you is I’m not killing off Harrison [Ford] at the end of it." The filmmaker wouldn't reveal any details beyond that, and so the plot remains a mystery as of right now. It surely can't be any worse than the last instalment in that respect anyway, and there are plenty of other ways Spielberg could bring Ford's tenure to an end.

Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall are producing Indiana Jones 5, and we recently learned that John Williams will be providing the score. David Koepp is penning the screenplay, and the movie is currently set to be released on July 19th, 2019. As always, share your thoughts on this news below.
