Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch, which comes out on March 25th, which involves a young woman about to be lobotomized. Inside her mind, she fights to escape and survive.

However, the ending to the film has been spoiled, by the officially released Sucker Punch: Art of the Movie book.

A user at SuperheroHype, Protocidia, summarized the surprisingly spoiled ending: WARNING: SPOILERS!

Amber, Blondie, Rocket and Sweet Pea die. The pure daisies are destroyed. The object [a plot device in the film] closer to Baby Doll is decapitated. Baby Doll loses her innocence and is lobotomized, but right before accepting defeat, she becomes enlightned by the experience and has one last happy moment before her mind is destroyed.

This spoiler certainly explains the divided early reviews of the movie, and may impact the film significantly.

Sucker Punch Premieres on March 25th, 2011.

What a way to end a movie...

Zack Snyder is a masochist. What the [frick] is this? I don't even want to see it anymore.
Aguaman - 3/2/2011, 5:21 PM
I was iffy about this movie from the beginning and was tempted by a GL trailer to see it, but if this ending is true I feel like this movie may bomb pretty badly... I know I'm not interested
Creature - 3/2/2011, 5:23 PM
I'll torrent it for the preview medium I guess.
Dmon - 3/2/2011, 5:25 PM
Its kind of like "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest". Not everything is happy endings people. Sad ending does not mean bad movie. I still can't wait for this movie.
Aguaman - 3/2/2011, 5:29 PM
This will be another all action, no substance movie.

@Xenix
Well ofcourse when you know the details. This is just one sentence that tells us "they die". The revelation at the end seems like an interesting one. I wonder what "the object" is...

damn... so all the hot ass b!thces die? that's dumb... I can't pleasure myself to corpses... or could I?
Dynamo - 3/2/2011, 5:42 PM
@VideoColor
Again, that could be said of Reservoir Dogs.
I think it's pretty clear that the point of this whole thing is the journey she goes on, not the ending.

@Xenix
Or that's how it's been marketed. The trailer seems to make a pretty big deal of innocence and the power of the mind to set one free (behind the orgy of action I mean), this seems to fit with that theme.
I mean it was no different with 300. It also was marketed with action; but at the end of the film it was a story about sacrifice and legacy behind all the blood and gore. All the main characters die in that too.
Dmon - 3/2/2011, 6:08 PM
@Dynamo Same thing with Watchman when the best Hero/Character died at the end.
P862010 - 3/2/2011, 6:23 PM
umm they are not explaining the whole thing

the 5th object she finds is

herself she comes to terms with herself
P862010 - 3/2/2011, 6:28 PM
also lets put it this way

good guys die in

watchmen
300
dawn of the dead
and now sucker punch

supes is gonna die lol
TorturedXGenius - 3/2/2011, 6:49 PM

God forbid some films go off the beaten path of movie formula people! Give it a rest.
xBlaze96x - 3/2/2011, 8:03 PM

CrossOver - 3/2/2011, 8:13 PM
And in the book cover, one of the girls are supposed to be in the robot. So thats messed up a bit. The asian girl pilots that.

Comedy vs Tragedy (Protagonist lives or dies)

For once the movie is a tragedy.

Then again, didn't everyone like die in other Snyder movies (300, Watchman, even in Legend of the Guardians the brother is still a bad guy)

Watch, Superman will die in his movie.

I bet this show will rock though.

bubba27 - 3/2/2011, 11:31 PM
I like it....

Emma Stone would've rocked the role of Amber.

At first I didn't want to see this. Chicks with guns Eh, been done before, but the FX are KILLER so I just might have to spend $9.50.

It's always nice to see a non hollywood ending to a film, or as i like to call it a European Ending. and in case anyone asks here is an example, in the European release of I AM LEGEND Will Smiths character dies at the end, much more suitable ending.

Try to remember that the ending described in this article may be a fitting ending to the film. I like Zack Snyder so i'm cutting him some slack. And i dont think he will kill Superman, at least not in the first film.
kpk - 3/3/2011, 2:18 AM
@Xenix

And even in a mainstream movie...

Terminator 3, anyone!?
Shaman - 3/3/2011, 5:59 AM
I think it's akwardly perfect. Now let's see how Snyder tells us his ending. Cause just reading about it is moot. A picture is worth a thousand words.
ThomYorke - 3/3/2011, 9:39 AM
i quite like that ending. didnt it show a short snippit of whats-her-face getting lobotomized in the trailer? or am i just getting it mixed up with requiem for a dream?
