Thanks to marvel.com we have a good look at the characters and some screen shots of the upcoming X-men anime series beginning on the 1st April in japan. The x-men series follows after iron man and wolverine both of which have their english version launching on G4 this summer.

Synopsis for the upcoming x-men series is as follows:

The X-Men are reunited following the death of a teammate, and are summoned by Charles Xavier to Japan following the abduction of Hisako Ichiki (Armor). There, they confront the U-Men, a lunatic cult that steals and transplants mutant organs to further strengthen their own army, and the battle for justice is on.

The show looks to be turning out quite good once we get the English version I will definitely be watching. Leave your thoughts in the usual place.

Maybe at the end of the first season, Cyclops will come out of the closet and tell everyone hes been takin Namor to Poundtown.

I'm glad they made wolverine actually look like a man in this one. in the wolverine anime he was just completely wrong.

i love anime and i kind of like what they did with the X-Men but one thing though.. WHY THE HELL DID THEY MAKE CYCLOPS LOOK GAY? He's my favorite character..

I love anime, but Cyclops was seriously made gay, and this ain't a regular in anime. In anime, a male can be feminine a lot of the time, but this is something different. Uh, ew.

I hate anime and I'm asian, why I hate anime is cause the guys looks like girls and the bad guys are always these weird tentacles or they just add some tentacles on all anime. Just weird not my taste but when they do anime on robots there awesome.

it looks like it could be good. at least anime does a better job of pushing the envelope storyline wise.

I guess I'd be redundant in saying that cyclops looks like he's got some sugar in his tank, lol! How the hell could a cyclops like this compete on some macho level with wolverine for jean greys' love? pathetic, lol

It's not a laser it's a concussive force blast. Like Iron Man's repulsors. It doesn't burn through stuff it just pushes it basically.

Sure, Cyclops looks pretty gay but I'm looking forward to this. Finally we have some Marvel Anime. Wolverine is pretty good so far, But I bet the Blade anime will be the best out of the four.

They made Storm look hot like the nubian goddess she is, but WTF happened to Cyke?!? He looks like he's waiting on Nuck's tentacle monster to show up ;) This is so wrong. Cyke was always one of my favorite characters. Damn you Japan!!! Damn you!!!

man, after reading most of the post on this topic, i have come to the conclusion that 95% of people on here are complete idiots. An awesome anime of x-men is in the works and all you say is that cyclops looks gay! 40+ post of "he looks gay, etc etc" i wish i could line you all up in a row and just go down the row with my open palm slapping you all!!!!

@Full metal, I do disagree with the First Class bashing, like I do with everyone else's first class bashing. BUT I DO COMPLETELY agree with the rest of what you've said! 100%!

95% aren't idiots...95% are probably KIDS! Which really explains everything about most X-Men posts PERIOD! Hey guys, FOX isn't behind this one, it's backed by MARVEL. So who you guys gonna blame now? Gotta blame someone for "Cyke looking gay" right? So who, the Japanese?? Christ, the ignorance on here is ridiculous. [frick] "lining up in a row and open palm slapping". I already imagine the "Calm down, get a hold of yourself" scene from Airplane. Moving down the line, slapping each and everyone of you..but I got next and WITH my giant combo wrench :)

Anywho! I think this Anime looks AMAZING. Nuff said
