"No," Wilson replied when asked if he'd tried on a costume. Asked whether he'll play a hero or villain, "Can't tell you." Confirming he's in the movie, Wilson added that he has an "important role". Wilson was then asked if he'd learned anything from Watchmen, in which he played Nite Owl, to take into Ant-Man. "No, totally different world. I love Watchmen, I love Zack I love the process of that, I'm so happy with that," he replied. When asked if he'd read a script, Wilson simply answered "Yes."

Ant-Man stars Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas, with Michael Pena, Clifton Collins Jr. and Evangeline Lilly for rumored roles. Principal photography is scheduled to begin in May, while the film releases on July 17, 2015.

SonGoku - 3/8/2014, 2:47 PM
I always thought Wilson would make a great Professor Zoom, but I guess that ship has sailed now. I hope he's playing 60's Pym though, he'd be great.
Fanmar16 - 3/8/2014, 2:57 PM
is an obvious villain
DEVLIN712 - 3/8/2014, 2:58 PM
I really hope that he's the villain
SuperCat - 3/8/2014, 3:00 PM

Better be 60s Hank Pym!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 3/8/2014, 3:14 PM
Def Pym. He has that nerdy voice about him, like he did in Watchmen.
RetroFit - 3/8/2014, 3:14 PM
If the villain comes out of the technology, then my guess is Klaw. Could he be Ulysses Klaw?
TucksRevelatons - 3/8/2014, 3:15 PM
he's George Tarleton aka MODOK!!!!!!

TucksRevelatons - 3/8/2014, 3:16 PM
1960'S Hank Pym will be played by Rafe Spall ...I thought that was confirmed already. if not? oops..
Kurne - 3/8/2014, 3:17 PM
Yeah, young Pym it is. He was asked if he has a big role or small role and he said important. I really hope flashbacks take place throughout the movie, not just opening credits/Watchmen-style.
ComicsBornAndBred - 3/8/2014, 3:17 PM
60s Pym. He's gotta be young Pym. It's too obvious
Kurne - 3/8/2014, 3:19 PM

That was scooped up (here) last year. Possible, but we haven't heard anything from other sites.
NorseGod - 3/8/2014, 3:25 PM
young pym seems about right. He reminds me of a young kirk douglas.

@Kurne Sent this to the main, great find!
blackandyellow - 3/8/2014, 3:27 PM
I think Wilson and Chris Evans are the only two actors to star in a DC and Marvel movie now.
DaVinci31 - 3/8/2014, 3:27 PM
blackandyellow - 3/8/2014, 3:27 PM
I think he's Egghead.
MrSotoMan - 3/8/2014, 3:28 PM
It's not 60's Pym guys, I'm telling you, he really seems like he is playing a villain, at least the villain of Scott Lang.

If his role is important, than 60's Pym ISN'T IMPORTANT. Just saying. His role is "IMPORTANT" meaning if he is 60's Pym that would mean the events that happen in the 60's are important, but not meaning that he is a villain.

Again, he seemed pretty straight forward and vague about his answers, to me, it seems like he is playing a villain, not Pym. I know that's what we all pray to god to see, but something like that I think would of been announced to us, hell who knows we might not even see 60's Pym.

How did this Ant-Man thread turn into a Leo thread??

This is a Marvel Film thread people. You need to be talking about comedy, puns and sight gags.
And it needs to be toddler friendly. Young kids could wander in here after checking John Cena's page.

And Patrick Wilson is too good to be in a Marvel film.

This GIF needs to be shared. I'm gonna leave it here

Out of a list of Marvel characters that I fan casted, I can't believe two from my Ant-Man list have actually ended up in the movie.

I had chosen a mix of actors going off both of acting ability & looks to be Hank/Scott/Erin depending on what Edgar was going to develop & I had Paul Rudd in as a choice for Scott Lang long before rumours of him were even coming out for that role & I had Patrick Wilson down as somebody for Hank.

I should be a casting director for Marvel Studios, LOL.

No, but seriously, here is all the people I had for various Ant-Men.....

Nathan Fillion, Aaron Eckhart, Patrick Wilson, Adrien Brody, Alan Tudyk, Josh Holloway, Bradley Cooper, Jensen Ackles, Daniel Radcliffe
(Providing Nathan Fillion keeps claiming he doesn't want the role, otherwise HE is first choice)

Obviously I know Fillion is a very popular choice amongst most fans other than just myself & that is why I had put in brackets that he was the first choice above everybody else listed, but from various interviews he never really seemed liked he wanted the role even though I think he would have been a perfect Hank & could have made for some great scenes of dialogue with Ruffalo & Downey & maybes Pratt if we do get that Avengers / Guardians team up.

Looking forward to Wilson just being in the movie in general as he is a solid actor & I've never been disappointed by a performance of his yet. Should add some great spark to the movie & to whatever role he is portraying.

seamuskeaneart - 3/8/2014, 4:23 PM
I also liked The Losers movie, shame it never got a sequel.
MercwithMouth - 3/8/2014, 4:23 PM

It was great! Evans was awesome in it. And definitely the better of Morgan's CBM roles.
