What comes next for Captain America and Bucky after Avengers: Infinity War obviously remains to be seen but are Joe and Anthony Russo now teasing some major changes for the heroes in the Marvel movie?

Heading into Avengers: Infinity War, we know that Steve Rogers has ditched his Captain America identity after giving up the shield while Bucky is still hiding out in Wakanda with a brand new arm. However, what does the future hold in store for these two heroes? Well, that obviously remains to be seen but the Russo Brothers have been generating a lot of speculation on social media about that.

Firstly, they changed their Twitter profile photo to a fan-made image of Bucky wielding the shield and then shared another on Instagram pointing to Steve Rogers going by his Nomad identity in this film. 

While it's entirely possible that they're just sharing images they like, Joe and Anthony must know that this sort of thing will get fans talking and that there's already been a lot of talk about Bucky becoming the new Captain America if Steve perishes here. Thankfully, we're now only a couple of weeks away from finding out what comes next for these two but let us know your theories in the usual place.

@Knightrider - I feel(even though it'd be super cheesy) when they are about to rush at the Black Order and the outriders in Wakanda right before they rush BP is about to say "Wakanda Forever" but Cap cuts him off and says "No pal you're an Avenger now then says Avengers Assemble" then they all rush at them in formation

Do you guys think the Russos will take a break after A4? I hope not, but it's possible...
These last 2 movies definitely took a toll on them.
Thing is, even if they intend to direct more movies for MCU, i'd love to have them on the X-Men rather then "A Captain America movie"...ESPECIALLY if Chris is done playing the character.

@Doomsday8888 - I remember an interview of them saying they wanted to do something different after Avengers 4, which doesn't mean they will, but I'm positive they said they wanted to.

@Asturgis - They will be working on a TV series adapting the comic book Quantum and Woody, after they finish with the Avengers 4.

I think Cap might be referred to as a nomad and Bucky will probably hold the shield at some point. Don't think it will be much more than that. Just fun nods to the comics

There's a new TV spot where a line or two of dialogue has given me an annoying thought.

I do hope that the fight on titan isn't a dream sequence or anything. Like the fight at the end of the last twilight movie.

@rexlincoln - I think thats a section that allows strange to reverse time multiple times. Im guessing he reverses time and gets them all to safety.

Am I the only one who absolutely does not want Sebastian Stan taking up the shield? Evans is perfection, and having a brain-washed former assassin who murdered Tony's parents just doesn't sit right with me to wear the stars and stripes. I also don;t think Stan has the chops for that character.

I think Bucky will don the The Capt. America mantle by the end of this movie. It gives them a reason to update the character and uniform, now we have a bunch of repainted Capt America toys to sell and that’s the real bottom line right there.

Captain America will never die has Super Soldier Serum in his blood :)

Hulk kicked Blonsky into a tree and was back within hours :) Same serum

@JacuzziJoe - But I'm kind of wondering if Cap and Iron Man will trap Thanos somewhere the way Nova and Star Lord did in the comics, "dying" that way without actually dying.

Looks like no more Marvel movies after this movie. There goes Guardians of the Galaxy 3 because they will all be dead.

@DoubleD - well Capt. America was also in his old uniform on the set of Avengers 4 so that might be part of the time travel aspect. So we’ll see what happens.

Not really on topic, but I really hope they lay down some seeds for Richard Rider in these films. He’d be such a good way to broaden the cosmic side.

@Demba - They deff do if you consider Thanos has to go through the Nova corps and destroy Xandar to get the power stone. So the table is already set for rhomann dey to pass off his helmet. I'm sure he got a promotion by this point and is a powerful nova corp officer
