Sebastian Stan May Have Confirmed That Steve Rogers Will Be Suiting Up As Nomad For AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

We recently reported on a rumor that Chris Evans' Steve Rogers would be dropping the mantle of Captain America in favor of Nomad for Avengers: Infinity War, & now one of his costars may have confirmed it.

Has Sebastian Stan (The Winter Soldier) confirmed a recent rumor that Steve Rogers would be adopting the mantle of Nomad for Avengers: Infinity War?

The actor signed a Captain America: The Winter Soldier poster for a young fan, and as you can see from the Instagram pic below, he added a beard to Steve Rogers' face along with a speech bubble that reads "Argh, I'm Nomad."

There's always a chance Stan is simply poking fun at the rumor here. but if not, it seems like solid confirmation that the disillusioned Sentinel of Liberty will indeed be utilising a new superhero identity when he returns to take on Thanos and his forces.

@BreakTheCode - The heroes will be splintered into groups in IW. Cap will be Nomad. Then in A4 Cap will don the Cap suit and yell "Avengers Assemble!" for the climactic scene where everyone comes together to fight Thanos.

He gave up his shield (which if president Roosevelt had given it to him in the MCU as he did in the 616 he wouldn't have had to) so he starts out the film as Nomad. No spoiler there. It would be a sin if he didn't finish it as Cap though.

@niknik - the Shield is just straight vibranium, not a mix of adamantium/vibranium/(after fear itself/Uru metal. So I could see Black Panther giving him a new one

It still cracks me up they had Scarlet Johansson like that on most of the TWS posters and marketing. It's such a grounded, real movie, she's an awesome character in it and this is like "Do you like my sexy snake dance?" lol
