A new rumour claims Tom Holland has signed a huge new deal with Marvel Studios that will see his Spider-Man take centre stage in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty! Read on for details about that and Spider-Man 4.

Spider-Man: No Way Home featured arguably the best use of the Multiverse concept since this latest Saga began, so perhaps we shouldn't be surprised that Tom Holland's web-slinger will be front and centre in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty! That's according to reliable insider @MyTimeToShineH, anyway.

As you can see in the series or Tweets below, they're claiming that Holland has signed a huge new "secret" deal with Marvel Studios to return as Spider-Man in both a fourth movie - that would be released prior to 2026's Avengers: Secret Wars - and to serve as The Kang Dynasty's lead.

If correct, that's huge, and we can't help but wonder what would lead to Peter Parker being so important to that story.

After all, his fellow Avengers no longer remember who is beneath the mask, so much of his shared history with Earth's Mightiest Heroes is no more.

Spidey does, however, have some Multiversal experience and his existence in the MCU (which, as we know, is solely down to Marvel Studios' deal with Sony Pictures) could mean he's some sort of Nexus being who poses an unexpected threat to Kang.

It's also feasible that the nature of this movie means Spider-Man will be able to reverse Doctor Strange's spell...surely that's a predicament Kang might be able to "help" him with?

We'll have to wait and see, but based on what's said here, Spider-Man will show up in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty before his long-awaited next solo outing.

This is just a rumour and nothing has been confirmed as of yet, but we're hoping the trades might weigh in soon. It could be that we're left waiting for Spider-Man 4 news until this July's Comic-Con, though.

Now THAT is a way to get me excited for Kang Dynasty after being pretty underwhelmed by the Kang we got in Quantumania. The other Kangs in the Post Credit scene were laughable too but hey I love Holland’s Spider-Man so I’ll go for that alone.

@TheLobster - exactly. It’s the only thing in season phase 4 or thus far 5 that is phase 1-3 quality and also avengers feeling, it felt like such a huge event, and it was, it sits in between the 4 Avengers films, like a boss. Loved it. Now I wanna watch it again

@TheWalkingCuban - completely agree with you! I have a few minor issues with NWH but that magical MCU feel was still present in it. I can’t say that about anything else in Phase 4 and certainly not in Quantumania lol

Anyways, probably gonna now watch Homecoming tonight hah

@TheWalkingCuban - Shang Chi may be less meta exciting, but it was one of the best films in the MCU, any phase. Hot take over here.

@LiteraryJoe - it definitely “fit in the infinity saga” if you will

@LiteraryJoe - doesnt have to be avengers size to fit with SEVERAL phase 1-3 films

@TheWalkingCuban - I don't understand what you mean in relation to my statement tbh.

@LiteraryJoe - what I meant was that in terms of quality, Shang Chi was as good as some pretty good infinity, saga movies.

@TheWalkingCuban - I gotcha! Yeah, I thought it was one of the best origin movies. Better than Thor Cap Ant Man Captain Marvel and Hulks first movies. Iron Man had a cohesive story while introducing a thrilling concept with a lesser known character so I would tie them.

@LiteraryJoe - to me Iron Man is one of the best CBM’s ever, I can’t in good conscience tie SC with it lol

LiteraryJoe - 2/22/2023, 10:51 AM
@TheWalkingCuban - to be fair, without Iron Man's success we wouldn't have gotten Shang Chi.

@LiteraryJoe - this is true. One thing that sets it above the rest tho is RDJ, I am one that loves parts 2&3 as well, basically anything with iron man.

Kang is gonna offer him the chance to reverse time. Giving off major One More Day vibes. Peter better not undo the events of NWH.

Well, it would make sense. He's arguably the MCU's biggest draw right now, especially with the OG Avengers "gone" (for whatever that matters in the Multiverse). Based on the success of "NWH", why wouldn't they want to make him front and center for now. At least until the F4 come around (who will likely be front and center until the X-Men come around, who in turn will likely be front and center until Squirrel Girl inevitably dominates the BO for the next decade or longer).

@marvel72 - You're assuming Marvel and Disney haven't been "making money" for over a decade now.

marvel72 - 2/19/2023, 3:47 PM
@comicfan100 - No just Phase 4, Spider-Man:No Way Home made good money same as Doctor Strange And The MultiVerse Of Madness but apart from that nothing really amazing.
