Eva Longoria is the Wasp

It's Official. Eva Longoria is set to play the Wasp in the upcoming Avengers movie, sources say.

Well it may not be that official but tons of sources tell me that Eva Longoria from TV's Desperate Housewives, is set and ready to play Wasp in the upcoming Avengers movie. According to many web sources, she was photographed leaving Marvel Studios with a business card in one hand and a stack of Avengers comics in the other. Since Robert Downey Jr. (Ironman) and Don Cheadle (War Machine) are the only people already cast to be in the movie and I bet Eva is up next.

But my problem with this is that everytime I think of Eva, I get this image in my head of her in Desparate Housewives. I just don't see her as the Wasp, but I bet she is a good actress and can pull this off, just like Jennifer Gardner for Electra and Halle Berry for Catwoman (weither or not they pulled their roles off is still up in the air). Now I would like to know some of your thoughts on the subject.

	Ehhh Idk much about Wasp or Eva Longoria...but ehh...maybe they coulda got someone younger??? 	I think Eva is a decent choice for Wasp. She definitely looks the part (mostly) and she does have decent acting abilities, definitely well enough to pull off Janet Van Dyne (Pym). I think she will work well, and adds tons of eye candy as well. IonParallax - 12/9/2008, 8:11 PM
	She's slim enough but not stick thin and has the right colour hair. Those are about the only consistant features of the Wasp which makes the casting easy. Plus She can act and She gives the film more credibility than would a less well known actor or a younger one with a career based on looks. I can't think of a better idea. 	Well the problem is that is not all comic fans have the same interpretation of how "their characters" should be interpreted. For instance, I keep hearing Jensen Ackles for Cap, but I can't see someone that young playing Cap. Eva is a decent pick if the movie portrays the bratty, selfish b#### from her origins.
