Azrael is coming to Gotham, and as a lot of fans predicted before his untimely death in the midseason finale, it's going to be none other than Theo Galavan (James Frain) under the mask - meaning, obviously, that he's not quite as dead as we thought.

A couple of different Instagram users snapped the pics below on the Brooklyn set of the show, and whether you like the idea of Galavan taking up the mantle or not, you've gotta admit it's a pretty cool costume.

He looks great, but this exemplifies why I didn't stick with the show. It seems ill-advised to introduce Batman's entire supporting cast before Bruce even hits puberty. I'm pretty sure that this version of Azrael isn't Jean Paul Valley (at least I dearly hope so), but still... For me, the most interesting parts of Batman's stories involved, you know, Batman. Considering Gotham's continuity, it's no wonder Bats has such an easy time defeating his villains. They'll all be senior citizens when he's in his prime.

Holy shit this is amazing! I loved the way he fought against Gordon. He has a Taken fighting style and Gordon doesn't have to feel guilty about "killing" him. Here I thought they turned Gordon into a cold blooded killer

It looks pretty damn good ! And we already know that Theo G can kick some serious ass (if it is him and not some secret twin. My guess is he was resurrected, maybe by whatever experiments Hugo Strange is doing in Indian Hill).
