No, its not Bale and Jackman punching it up (although they have previously had at eachother in Nolans "The Prestige"). This time the boys over at batinthesun.com have finally given us a bout to make any CBM fans mouth water.

Film maker Aaron Schoenke has previously given us such groundbreaking fan films as Batman: Legends, Batman: City of Scars and Batman: Seeds of Arkham, however this is his first time tackling a marvel character in the newest episode of Super Power Beat Down.
Try not to sh#@ yourselves!

Interesting video... Not sure I agree with the outcome though!
TonyChu - 7/2/2012, 8:03 PM
I am one of the bigeest Batman fans out there and even I know he would get [frick]ed up by Wolverine. After all he is the best at what he do!
TonyChu - 7/2/2012, 8:07 PM
Damn for a minute I thought Wolverine lost.
TonyChu - 7/2/2012, 8:08 PM
And the part where Batman deflected Wolverine's attack was bullshit because Batman gaulnets are not adamantium.
BenderDickCumPatch - 7/2/2012, 8:09 PM
THE PERFECT WOLVERINE VS THE PEEFECT BATMAN.

TAKE NOTE DC/FOX

I CANT HANDL NJNHMMM

OverlyManlyMan - 7/2/2012, 8:15 PM
Wolverine > Batman
CoolantTech - 7/2/2012, 8:24 PM
@thegoddamndeadpool you got ovaries?
TristanThatGuy - 7/2/2012, 8:24 PM
Reminds me of that show Deadliest Warrior.
Luminus - 7/2/2012, 8:36 PM
This is bull. Batman does not walk into situations unprepared. Batman had too much opportunity to prep for the encounter. He would not have confronted Wolverine so recklessly. He might as well have tried to go hand-to-hand with Freddy Krueger.

Wolverine still needs to breathe, and that is a weakness the Dark Knight would exploit masterfully. Batman also would have had a different suit on – one that masked his smell, so Wolverine wouldn't be able to detect him that way. Also, since Wolverine's claws are made of metal, a magnet gadget of some type would solve this claw man problem relatively easy (a gun that shoots magnetic debris, comes to mind). Clearly, the makers of the video aren't analytic thinkers or they would have thought of these things. >;)
Luminus - 7/2/2012, 8:47 PM
@PatientZero. This is why he lost in Batman: Dead End as well. No prep-time. Batman dies in most scenarios, without prep-time.
Luminus - 7/2/2012, 8:49 PM
^I mean that hypothetically. Of course, he's whatever the writers need him to be.
elcaballerooscuro92 - 7/2/2012, 9:02 PM
great fight!!! great costumes!!! great pillow fight!!! but i still think batman could beat wolverine
mrtrampoline - 7/2/2012, 9:10 PM
I personally think this film lacked some of the infamous bat-gadgets!
Exploding balls of adhesive gel
Bola ties
Electrified batarangs
Heck, even a can of pepper-spray could have dealt a different outcome!
Tony93 - 7/2/2012, 9:58 PM
There's a web series batman show huh.. damn Im late..
KungFuGee - 7/2/2012, 9:59 PM
Batman is only a man. A great detective, a great martial artist and a superior tactical genius but he doesn't have a healing factor, admantium claws or bones harder than steel.
Tony93 - 7/2/2012, 10:05 PM
that is an amazing cat suit though
Tony93 - 7/2/2012, 10:08 PM
wolverine had the advantage..
lapress - 7/2/2012, 10:21 PM
damn right! trollololol wolverine sniktted the crap out of batman, and batman was all like, alfred i'm dying, and wolverine was like, no, your dead, boy! ha ha! The only way batman could have won is if he was prepared. That i might agree with. im suprised that the vote was that close anyway.
TayDee - 7/2/2012, 10:29 PM
He had the bat-underwear on!
AlSimmons - 7/2/2012, 10:48 PM
Doesn't Batman have exploding foam or something? That would have stopped the fight right there.
RinjoClans - 7/3/2012, 12:03 AM
protip- start the video at 2:10
scmittydude - 7/3/2012, 12:28 AM
yup. that's right.
scmittydude - 7/3/2012, 12:28 AM
AlSimmons, how? wolverine can heal from being just a skeleton left.
fullmoon106 - 7/3/2012, 1:20 AM
That was great! I always love Aaron Schoenke's movies. I'm a big Batman fan, but I agree with the result. Wolverine is a bad-ass. I mean, Batman could win if he was prepared, but he's just a man. Wolverine has the healing factor and over hundred years of experience.
fullmoon106 - 7/3/2012, 1:21 AM
The pillow fight in the end was great too. I liked that Catwoman suit more than Nolan's.
jimoakley666 - 7/3/2012, 3:14 AM
And THAT is why we should never see Wolverine's gay costume live action. It looks re-[frick]ing-diculous.
marvel72 - 7/3/2012, 6:06 AM
wolverine would destroy batman, wolverine wouldn't think twice about killing batman but batman would never kill.

also thats what batman costume should look like in the reboot it was near perfect.

also the vote was gonna go wolverine's way so we get to see hot babe pillow fight.
imnotwearinghockeypants - 7/3/2012, 6:32 AM
Could have done without the dork discussion prior to the actual video.
WorldsGreatestdetective - 7/3/2012, 6:48 AM
This video kills my childhood with the battle outcome. But it lives up to my adult fantasies with the pillow fight
ThunderCougarFalconBird - 7/3/2012, 6:54 AM
Pretty cool video with the only logical outcome. Although Batman would NOT have lasted that long. He wouldn't have taken Wolverine by surprise for a start.

Wolverine has had more combat training and more combat experience than Bats, then there's the heightened senses, then there's the enhanced strength, then there's the unending endurance and THEN there's the adimantium claws and skeleton.

I HATE these "Batman always wins" people.
cole33 - 7/3/2012, 6:54 AM
That was fun. Wolverines costume looked pretty decent, obviously the mask was too bulky, but think of what could be done with a big budget.

The only thing I disagree with is that Wolverine wouldn't be bother in the least by the smoke pellet, and he wouldn't pause at all in a fight, which is something I always liked about the character, he wasn't just a master at hand to hand and warfare, he would just overwhelm his opponents, the speed of bruce lee, the strength of captain america, and the stamina of a thorough breed race horse.
thalidomide - 7/3/2012, 6:58 AM
The battle of the over used characters. But yeah Wolverine will win this hands down.
sbdc1939 - 7/3/2012, 6:58 AM
batman would beat wolverine, he is genius with control over his emotions, wolverine is an angry animal. Batman would beat his ass. But a tag team would be cool sabertooth and bane vs wolverine and batman or vice versa
figuresmaniac - 7/3/2012, 7:02 AM
Yes, he is the frickin' Batman.
But Wolverine is still the best at what he does.
thalidomide - 7/3/2012, 7:09 AM
Batman can easily beat Wolverine if the video was directed by Nolan.

skot888 - 7/3/2012, 7:23 AM
I'm a Huge Batman fan and TBH in the setting they put him in there was zero way you're gonna beat Wolverine in a Tight enclosed area. Outcome was proper for teh setting. In order for Batman to win he'd have to have a much more open area. tight enclosed space, man with Gadgets versus man with 6 blades and a healing factor.. 6 blades and healing factor wins.
ComicBookGoth - 7/3/2012, 7:33 AM
that 1st Snikt in this video looked cooler than the majority of the X-films.
alekesam - 7/3/2012, 7:46 AM
@thalidomide: That's hilarious.
Colorist - 7/3/2012, 7:57 AM
I'm a DC man, and even I think that Wolverine would take Bats. It would be almost no contest if Batman should just take on Wolverine with no prep time, and having no prior knowledge of Wolverine's powers and abilities. He' probably retreat and try to come up with something new and different, such as choosing a change of venue for a confrontation. Maybe then he could win, but even then I doubt it.
DatScarletPimPerNeLL - 7/3/2012, 7:58 AM
Batman going into a fight minus intel on most occassions never end well for him.Going back to when Bats first fought the Predator; ass handed to him & that was as they fought through Gotham in open spaces. It wasn't until after he was banged up & layed out, that he could assess who & what he was dealing with in order to properly devise a new armored suit & a strategy in order to go toe to toe w/ the Predator.
The Superman argument is null & void because there's been more than enough time & knowledge shared between the two respective(they're pals & they know each other etc,etc..) histories that any writer, good or bad could cop out to whatever ending suits the monthly storyline that have the two coming to blows for the sake of the argument & sales.
SCURVYDOG619 - 7/3/2012, 8:22 AM
If Wolverine can sneak up on friggin' Deathstroke without Slade knowing, odds are pretty good Logan could do the same to Bats.

But the only way we're gonna know for sure is if there's enough demand from the fanboys to justify a crossover one shot.

Hey,Marvel?DC? Want to make STUPID money? MAKE THIS HAPPEN...
Godzillafart - 7/3/2012, 8:23 AM
Why does every fan film cast Batman better than he has ever been cast in the movies?
DanteSparda - 7/3/2012, 8:31 AM
I'm a big fan of both and I'm going to try to make a neutral guess in the outcome of that fight:

If Batman doesn't know anything about Wolverine proir the fight then he's already dead, even if they fight in Gotham at night; Bats have really good stealth techniques and Wolverine have some too, the difference is that Wolverine can smell Batman wherever he's hiding, also Batman doesn't have anything to protect him against Wolverine's adamantium claws.

But is no secret that Batman is a lot smarter than Wolverine (hell he's one of the smartest super heroes in comics history if not the smartest) so if he knew all about Wolverine beforehand and had time to prepare himself against him he would surely find a way to beat him.
SUPERBATSPIDERMAN - 7/3/2012, 8:37 AM
Batman is smart enough not to fight Wolverine in a close quarter match like that. He would find Wolverine's weakness and exploit it which he would find out away to get rid of his healing factor.
LeoKragg - 7/3/2012, 8:40 AM
I'll say one thing; if nothing else this movie proves that a clothe costume would work visually in a Batman movie. I thought Wolverine worked well too. He looked killer! I'd rather see the characters in thier classic threads, like this, instead of some clunky-ass armour or jeans and a jacket.

This Wolverine would send Hugh Jackman running for dear life, crying like a little girl- the portrayal is so much closer than Jackmans commercialized, soft, pretty-boy Wolverine. This short movie looks better than Brian Singers/BRatners crappy X-MEN. I'm tired of the "yeah, but such and such is more realistic" talk...

I hope we see the classic costumes, in the coming years of superhero movies.
BrotherJohnson - 7/3/2012, 8:58 AM
If you're not giving Batman a chance, then you haven't read many Batman comics.
OdinsBeard - 7/3/2012, 9:01 AM
lol finally some logic behind a batman battle.
DanteSparda - 7/3/2012, 9:04 AM
@LeoKragg

So full of rightness!! Specially with the suits, the Batman grey and black work very well, and I'm sure WB will use it when they reboot Batman, becasue as I said it works and because Batman have already 7 movies wearing a full black siut, so WB would obviously look for a change.

And with Wolverine the same, perhaps his yellow and blue costume is too much to ask, but his X-Factor costume (the one in this short) would work way better, specially for his stealth scenes. I hope they give Wolverine this suit in his next movie, but most of all I hope the producers keep their promise that Wolverine would be the true berserker rage, badass and more flawed Wolverine of the comics, and not as you say that lame Wolverine we had previously seen, they should do it like this:

LeoKragg - 7/3/2012, 9:05 AM
As far as the outcome if the battle goes: it depends on which "version" of the characters you're talking about. back in the 70's and 80's Wolverine wasn't a super-ninja-samuri-120 years old man that can regenerate after having all the flesh burned of his skeleton.

Back then his healing ability was kept, as it should be, at a more or less consistent level. Batman and Wolverine were both more grounded. Todays writers have kind of fricked things up- too many "versions" instead of keeping characters on model.

Batman cannot beat Galactus, Superman and/or Darksied. And Wolverine should not be able to regenerate his body from a toe nail clipping. Hell, he shouldn't have 120 years of fighting experience and be connected to every major battle and hero past and present.

In the Wolverine limted series WOLVERINE Fought Lord Shinghen, a normal man around 60 years old who was an expert unrivaled samuri swordsman. Wolverine did not come out of that battle without grevous injury and it took him weeks to recover! go look at that battle:

This is the way the character should be portrayed- not like some super-invincible, unbeatable immortal. Batman circa 1970's Neal Adamsis highly skilled as a fighter, detective, and tactician-one of the smartest out-smarters in the world.. so, if we're talking about the character as they really SHOULD be: I say Batman .

And that's coming from someone who, as an X-men kid in the early/mid 80's, read and enjoyed way more "Wolverine comics".
kingshnake - 7/3/2012, 9:06 AM
Fantastic video but sorry Wolvie you can't heal from having your heart stopped by a giant electric shock.
