The Winter Soldier will always be the best MCU film

I'd agree it's probably the best, however it's severely over-hyped and damaged by subsequent media.

Story/social commentary and music perhaps, but in terms of choreography it does not hold up. Lots of enemy characters with guns just stand around waiting to be taken out, lots of enemy characters with guns just randomly run forward to be knocked out, etc...

Similarly the intimidating scene of Nick Fury "Last time I trusted someone, I lost an eye" and "Both eyes open" is destroyed by Captain Marvel revealing it to be a result of him getting a scratch from a cat, something that Alexander Pierce would likely know about given their implied long friendship/history.

The tech 'disguise yourself as anyone' thing that Black Widow has also does not age well... why was she not using it when on the run with Steve? Why was Steve not using it when on the run? Why didn't Nick Fury use it?

@HagridsHole1 -

I totally disagree with the tomatoes list. Endgame and Infinity War are the 2 best movies in the entire MCU.

I think Disney pays this website to modify the percentages and thus sell and promote their movies. They are not neutral.

I disagree too with the comentary about people deciding to go to the theatre because of their percents. This is absurd and a lie.

@Scarilian - You mean fight choreography? Just to clarify - standing around and shooting guns and randomly running forward as you describe is not fight choreography. The knife fight on the street and the 2v1 against ironman while tossing caps shield is top tier choreography. Also this is the only MCU movie with soul and conflict on both sides.

Wakanda Forever deadass took Forever to finish for me.

It wasn't easy for Coogler to make this movie, so i get it and i'm willing to cut him some slack and although i wasn't blown away by the first movie as well, it was a solid entry in the MCU panorama and a better movie than its sequel in pretty much every single way imho.

Wasn't a fab of some creative choices as well, forget about Namor but what happened to a certain other character...phew...and she was so damn good in this movie!

Will you going to do this every time a new Marvel movie appears?

In my opinion the first Black panther and End Game are rated too high if we compare them with Inifinity War and Civil War that deserve much better. I think Wakanda Forever deserves it's score or could be a little lower, If it was not for Namor I wouldn't have enjoyed this.

Films like Iron Man 2, both Ant-man films, Captain Marvel and Thor 4 belong in the rotten category.

Getting reports that Wakanda Forever has hit $180m total over the weekend domestically

Black Panther 2 Vs Doctor Strange 2 (Domestic Totals)
• Thursday previews/Friday: $84,000,000 VS $90,720,784
• Saturday: $56,500,000 VS $57,806,850
• Sunday: $39,500,000 VS $38,893,364

Domestic for opening weekends:
• Black Panther 2 - $180m
• Doctor Strange 2 - $187.4m
• Black Panther - $202m

Obviously not finalized totals yet, we'd need to see the first week or so and it's drop. At the moment it seems to be tracking domestically slightly lower than Multiverse Of Madness, which could mean it finishing its run between $800m - $950m depending on how the weeks go. Avatar 2 coming in less than a month is certainly going to impact this film's legs though.

I like to compare/contrast/predict box office totals, and that's all that this is. Performing about as well as Doctor Strange 2 is relatively good all things considered, the factors impacting this movie are numerous. Anything over around $625m is profit and it seems likely to achieve that unless it has a disastrous box office run.

I'm sure Disney would like this to hit $1bn, but personally at this point not seeing that as likely. It's got four weeks before its box office run will be massively impacted by Avatar 2 and I'm unsure if, among other factors, that this film will warrant enough repeat viewings given the subject matter.

$330,000,000 worldwide,so not the $365,000,000 they predicted.

We all have our own rankings and this one certainly is interesting... but Winter Soldier below FFH is just wrong and TFA is leagues above Black Widow. Sounds like I have a Cap chip on my shoulder but those two stuck out to me

Seeing BP:WF in a few minutes and excited to see where I place it. So far DS:MOM and NWH are my Phase 4 favorites, really enjoyed both

And exactly why is Black Panther the best? The Black Panther vs Killmonger fight is terrible. Personally I think it’s a mid level Marvel movie.
