He's Right, it is NOT cap. just a piece of the car hulk used to "smash"
Scottymagic
Scottymagic - 10/7/2008, 11:18 AM
lol i think its a joke making light of the fact everyone frantically looked out for a cap cameo after the directors publicity seeking comments.

Its like in the other bit when abomination chucks someone and everyone made out it was a spider-man cameo in the background.
ottoevans
ottoevans - 10/7/2008, 11:29 AM
Besides if it was Cap, why isnt he doing anything lol.

But anyways didnt the director already said that Cap is the picture above Tim Roth when hes waiting to come in the office?

Hahaha! That is sooo funny! If you watch the slow-mo clip long enough, you can actually delude yourself into thinking you can see the stripes on his uniform, the shield, and the wings on his head cover.

Jim1692 - 10/7/2008, 2:11 PM
Okay so I knew some people would be skeptical of my clip. I posted this and all I have to say is just look at the slow clips again and again. youll notice the "debris" comes from behind the fight. and hulk still is holding on to the car. just give it a shot...you even see the boot. And at the very end of the roll you'll see the sheild and half the star.
SGA
SGA - 10/7/2008, 2:17 PM
ok, well, even if it was Captain America, why is he just rolling....he's captain america....he would do something to stop this abomination (not sure if i intended the pun, you decide) from destroying the city.

A cameo would have been cool, but putting a war hero in the middle of a fight scene where all he's doing is rolling is just ridiculous.

sammyc - 10/7/2008, 4:28 PM
sorry jim but unless this is some special edition of the movie cause i have it its not cap america please watch again and look its part of the police car hulk smash the lights make u think other wise cause the lights on the car are flashing blue and red

SuperFlyinPwrs - 10/7/2008, 6:39 PM
I didn't see him at all. That's impossible to be him. What would he be doing there. This is the exact same thing that happened with the movie Han[wiener]. "Did you see the Transformer in Han[wiener]?". Well it wasn't a Transformer. And this is definitely not Captain America. When the DVD comes out, for sure, we will see that deleted scene we've been hearing about in the Incredible Hulk movie. Anyways that clip was way to blurry to even identify who or what that thing was. Doesn't this guy have the file on his computer? Come on.

HEY I FOUND IT!!!! ok this guy got the right scene but totally wrong. and you dont even need to play it in slow mo to figure it out. Its not rolling debree. This is the exact time of his apperance 1:33:53 ....its while hulk is pounding abomination and exactly right before they cut to abom when he's like is that all u've got look to the imediate left of hulks right leg(our left) ANd there HE IS! he's standing right next to hulk then dissappears! and this isnt something you have to squint its legit like he appears out of no where. its not some depree or anything!
bongman421
bongman421 - 10/8/2008, 12:56 PM
hey i got a better bootleg..its actually dvd quality..and im sorry to tell u that it is debris..its actually part of the car that hulk is usin to smash abomination..
Jim1692
Jim1692 - 10/8/2008, 4:35 PM
Look...i know im catching alot of slack from you guys about this clip. but it is Cpt.America! It is him and if you play the dvd in the computer and watch it in slow mo there youll see it. If you watch on the tv it may be blurry. This contest there running will be over fast as soon as the director admits its there. I was so pumped when i saw this. You guys should be happy. The debris your thinking about is in the foreground. Cappy rolls from behind the legs. Youll see it if you watch it on the puter screen. I hope you enjoy your search for him. but as I said before....the search is over.
Jim1692
Jim1692 - 10/8/2008, 4:36 PM
Id also like to add I think Timothy Oliphant should be cast as Catain America. He has the perfect persona and body shape or image that cappy has. Think about it. he was good in the Hitman movie.
OriginalPhysco
OriginalPhysco - 10/8/2008, 11:26 PM
thats captin america, i keap watching it for two days straight and there he is rolling, thats him for sure
yellowtiger
yellowtiger - 10/9/2008, 1:38 AM
I'm one of the believers. I initially thought that the object rolling by did indeed resemble Captain America (most notably his shield), but I was skeptical.

I watched the Leterrier interview again where he talks about the Captain America easter egg, and they play the clip with Hulk bashing Abomination with the cop cars. I noticed that all the debris from the smashing was in the foreground and at the point that Captain America is allegedly rolling past Hulk's right foot, all the pieces of the car are already gone from Hulk's hands.

So in addition to it looking A LOT like Captain America, all the debris is gone at the point he rolls past the screen. So, I'm pretty sure that that is our man.

Any of you guys seen the other thing about some figure swinging past the background? Here's the link...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUCSQHW8wBo

Go to 1:24 in the clip.
Jim1692
Jim1692 - 10/9/2008, 7:56 AM
Thank you yellow for the backup. Back in July is where I saw that interview, and I took him saying Easter Egg and showing that clips a s a hint. Then i saw it. I knoew he was there, and in the cleasrer version with no bootleg at all, you can clearly make out its him. He has no purpos there, and i think thats why they all asume its not him. but thanks for the backup on my clips.
SGA
SGA - 10/9/2008, 8:49 AM
I'm still saying it's only debris.
Jim1692
Jim1692 - 10/9/2008, 8:57 AM
Okay so i now see why there is speculation. You guys who dont see it are looking at the debris flinging above them. Captain is actuall on the ground. Hes low, and when you see him hes right there. Cant mis his sheild if you keep pausing. Also i sent tin 3 videos of a possible spidey cameo. Something or someone swings across the backround on a rooftop. Youll see soon enough. please voote on that as well, this director is driving me nuts.,
SGA
SGA - 10/9/2008, 11:05 AM
no, I'm looking at the ground, and it's nothing but debris, i admit, it does look a little suspicious, but it's only debris. i looked at the interview w/ the director on the other page, at the same instance as on this video because the picture is clearer, and it's definitely just debris.

as for spidey, there's no way he can have a cameo in this.

that would require columbia/SONY pictures and Universal colaborating, and there's NO WAY! that's going to happen w/ two HUGE rivals like that.
BuckyB7588
BuckyB7588 - 10/9/2008, 11:56 AM
for debris, it sure is BENDING ITS ELBOW! Right before it cuts out there an image of a guy holding down a shield and bending his elbow about to punch the abomonation right next to the hulks legs. Thats Cap.!
SGA
SGA - 10/9/2008, 1:19 PM
ok, look. When the Hulk is breaking the last bits of car off of his hand, there is nothing behind him either behind the car to his left (our right) or directly behind him. You don't see anything come between the car to his left (our right) and him to go behind him. The "Rolling of Captain America" happens right when Hulk breaks the last bits of car off of his fist.

now, you're going to say that "They timed it so it would just look like Debris when it's really Cap"

WRONG!

The director wanted to make this film as real as possible, so for Cap to just MAGICALLY appear out of thin air and roll around on the ground (during a fight no less and do nothing) would be to undo what he has done.

It's just debris...get over it.
SGA
SGA - 10/9/2008, 1:25 PM
not to mention the relative size of him compared to the Hulk and Abomination. Sure they're supposed to be a lot bigger than humans. but not THAT much bigger. Captain America himself isn't so small (he was given the super soldier serum). So for him to curl up into that tight and small of a ball is completely ridiculous.

So at the end of the "rolling" when he comes out of it and you see him starting to stretch out and see the "shield" he seems relatively small.

and don't say "he's further back so he looks smaller".

He may be further back but only by a few feet, and it wouldn't make THAT much of a difference in his appearance in size.
Jim1692
Jim1692 - 10/9/2008, 1:37 PM
Okay we al need to settle a litte bit. My clips are showing you Captain America. Thats all. Steve Rogers is doubled in size because if you read your comic history, that is what the serum did to him. So SGA, when the scene is confermed correct i will not be expecting anything but a , "Oh oops, i was wrong." In every hero movie about 99.9 percent of them have the villain losing. Seems to me your the villain on this blog. So...history will show that you will lose this battle. If thats not spidey, no biggy. thought it was a cool observation. but I know captain america and i know what he looks like. That is him...that is him...that IS him. Youll see. No one has to believe me. I see what i see. its gonna take the director to actually wake up and say something, rather then sit idly by and let people bicker about this movie. its only a movie. but its fun to find shit. thats why its an easter egg. And yes...he did some from behind the other car. the camera angle movie slightly. just watch it again. You need a better copy maybe. 10/21 we will all know.
SGA
SGA - 10/9/2008, 1:44 PM
I know Steve Rodgers is doubled in size, which is exactly why that debris is not Cappy. If all the marvel movies are tying in together, then he WOULD be doubled in size, because he would have been frozen for 60 years and come out looking all big and bad ass, just like he did when he was frozen. what i'm saying is that he's too small in this clip. and i do know my comic history.

and as for the Villain thing. I'm not a villain, i'm more of an anti-hero. Sure, I'll root for the good guy when i think he's right, but i'll tell him when he's wrong. I don't particularly like dominating the boards as a person who tries to take over them all. I'm just going and doing my own thing. Just giving logical reason as to why this may not be Captain America.

If it is in fact Cappy, i will come back and apologize and admit that i was wrong. But if i'm right. Then i'll expect the same from you.
Jim1692
Jim1692 - 10/9/2008, 2:59 PM
Of course. thats the whole idea behind this. we al want to see him. we all hope its him. And we all have out opinions. I just want that damn director to get off his ass and make a speech about ti. its not fair what hes doing and he should get it over with like everyother director does in the easter egg hunts.
Bijous
Bijous - 10/9/2008, 3:17 PM
Sorry, Jim! That's not Cap, just wishful thinking and an active imagination...
Stumblin
Stumblin - 10/9/2008, 3:20 PM
Yeah, I agree with SGA, that's just debris. Unless you have a less grainy copy of that scene. You say you can see wings, and a boot, and all of this. I see nothing of the sort, I seriously doubt that's the cameo, it'll probably the picture on the wall or that deleted scene. And that shot of Spidey/Daredevil, I saw absolutely nothing, it was a complete black area, so again, we need better visuals then a copy of a bootleg copy.
SGA
SGA - 10/9/2008, 4:04 PM
watch it on youtube at this link

and you'll see it's just car parts and it STOPS rolling at the edge of the screen
yellowtiger
yellowtiger - 10/9/2008, 5:48 PM
Jim, I took a look at the same scene in a pretty good quality version of the movie, and it is indeed just debris. It is a piece that comes off from the left hand after throwing the last "car punch." Leterrier totally copped out if he means Emil Blonsky as the Cap.
Jim1692
Jim1692 - 10/9/2008, 11:36 PM
Debris or not I say we all get together,, get a beer or 5 and go find the god damn director and hold him hostage until we get some asnwers. you all have been wicked fun about this. i hope we al get to see him no matter where in this damn flick. i have watched it like over 200 times now. Im starting to miss the first hulk with jennifer connelly..lol So hott..oh well. Godd luck everyone.

AmoriZep - 10/10/2008, 12:00 AM
it's definitely not Cap....i have a review copy of the ACTUAL dvd that's going to be released....and in watching the scene about 30 times over and over and going frame by frame...it's debris

i can also confirm that there is no deleted scene involving Cap as well....

sorry folks :(
SGA
SGA - 10/10/2008, 2:52 AM
uh-huh...you're actually just doing this for the sake of a debate aren't you....everyone now agrees it is just debris.
SGA
SGA - 10/10/2008, 4:43 AM
I too have watched the same clip on youtube in HD, and I concluded using the previously stated reasons, and just by sheer observance, that it is in fact NOT captain america.
