In Captain America: Civil War, Baron Zemo was far from the one we know from the comics as he was missing his iconic mask, but Zemo turned out to be one of the stronger villains of the MCU and was played excellently by Daniel Bruhl. During an interview with CinemaBlend, Civil War directors Joe and Anthony Russo revealed a very different introduction to Zemo.

The scrapped introduction involved Zemo searching for 'the Red book' in a Black Market auction, in which Zemo decided to kill everyone at the auction with poisonous gas.

We had an original scene where Zemo was at an auction, a black market auction and that's how he got his hands on the book, was at this auction. He killed everybody in the auction by gassing the auction. But we just didn't get enough story out of him; it was too mysterious of an opening scene.

Well, Zemo's actual introduction in the film was pitch perfect and set the villainous mastermind's role in the film up pretty well. What do you think of the scrapped intro to Zemo? Leave your thoughts down below!

Captain America: Civil War arrives on Blu-Ray September 13th, 2016.
