Elizabeth Olsen Reveals Why It Was Never The Plan For 'Scarlet Witch' To Wear Her Skimpy Costume In The MCU

Elizabeth Olsen wears a pretty cool costume in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it's a pretty far cry from what fans are used to seeing in the comic books. There, the Scarlet Witch can often be seen in a revealing outfit which barely covers her midsection, and in a recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, the Captain America: Civil War star confirmed that her stepping into a revealing costume has never been the plan. "About the same meeting Joss Whedon even mentioned who we were meeting about, he said, ‘There’s this character Scarlet Witch that I’m interested in for you to play,’ and then he said, ‘When you go home and Google her, just know you will never ever have to wear what she wears in the comics.' Because I did ballet growing up, but that’s not a confident look."

There's plenty more from Olsen in the video below, but something which is particularly interesting are her comments on the unique way she prepares to portray the Scarlet Witch's powers on the big screen. "I actually do finger exercises, because I try and figure out how to isolate fingers, and I’m not very good with my left hand so we always try and feature the right. I love a twitch, I always think that’s creepy." Would you like to see the character in a more revealing costume? Share your thoughts below.
