Hawkeye is one of the most underrated members of the Avengers. I think his character offers a humanistic view in the world of superpowered beings that is the most relate-able. Despite having no super powers, is always contributing in significant way both emotionally and physically. He should get his own spin off...or perhaps a team up with a future marvel character where his story can be explored further.

I still wonder why Hawkeye gets so much flack for being an Avenger because he's just a human, yet Batman is praised for that exact reason. Sure Batman is written like a god but still.

@FearTheLiving - Great point! I think that DC is ashamed of Batman being just a human. This is one of the reasons why don't buy into this Affleck as the greatest Batman garbage. In BVS he was doing superhuman things without any explanation. Like you said he is a human yet he is constantly written as if he is super human.

@FearTheLiving - Well there's a good reason.

Batman has pushed himself to the meta and physical peaks a human can reach. Batman is an expert fighter, detective, & genius.

Not hating Hawkeye at all. I love him but he just have a bow and arrow. He's not know for his intelligence or being an expert fighter.

@LEVITIKUZ - In BvS how do you explain the speed and physics of him scampering up a wallat almost super speed...able to avoid gunfire?

...or throwing a crate a hundred feet across a room.

...or swinging Superman through a pillar.

That is not peak human strength....that is superhuman.

@LEVITIKUZ - Hawkeye was trained for years by Cap, the greatest hand to hand fighter in the MU. He is not genius, but at least in the books he had a hand in designing his customized arrow heads and was the chairman of the WCA. And he singlehandedly defeated both the Grandmaster and the Collector. Just saying.

What comes after this clip is one of my favorite scenes in the entire movie.
I almost teared up from the intensity. You're gonna love it!
