Nightwing has been a
DC Comics character that fans have been hoping would appear in one of the The CW's
DCTV shows ever since
Arrrow's first season. Despite
some campaigning from The Vampire Diaries' Steven R. McQueen, there are currently no plans for the character to appear as
Batman lore seems to be reserved for the
DCEU and Ben Affleck. However, even if the former
Boy Wonder was available, Stephen Amell would actually prefer Colton Haynes'Roy Harper. When asked by fans on his official Facebook page, Amell stated, "
You know, I feel like I’m good with Roy Harper. Let’s get Roy Harper back."
Yet, with Team Arrow disbanding at the end of season 4 and Green Arrow set to lead a new group of crime-fighters that includes Wild Dog, Vigilante and Artemis there might not be enough room forArsenal to return, at least as a series regular.
Arrow season 5 will premiere on October 5 at 8/7c on The CW.
