FAN MADE: Ultimate Fan Fight #1 - Captain America vs. Batman

CBMers have already been treated to lots of Battle polls on our site, but now a new video format has cropped up on youtube. Check this out! Other than Cappy's somewhat ill-fitting nose piece, the production value is pretty darn good.

Captain America looks anorexic.
RidiculousFanBoyDemands - 7/17/2012, 4:36 PM
I guess this is before the Super Soldier Serum?
SageMode - 7/17/2012, 4:36 PM
Cap wins. He is physically, tactically and strategically superior to Bats.
SuperJoe - 7/17/2012, 4:37 PM
batman wins
SageMode - 7/17/2012, 4:38 PM
BIZZARONUMBER

You sure about that?

RidiculousFanBoyDemands - 7/17/2012, 4:40 PM
Here's what I don't understand about "gaining super powers." Since when does it automatically make you a master at hand to hand combat. Like with Captain America or Spider-man. Both had zero fighting skills before they gained powers, but immediately after they are more than proficient in multiple styles of hand to hand combat. I understand having super strength, agility and speed will aid you in a fight, but none of that means anything unless you are well trained.
Asterisk - 7/17/2012, 4:40 PM
I liked it. The fight seemed very Scott Pilgrim-esque. I also liked how they showed that Cap has fighting prowess when he doesn't have his shield.
SupermansBeard - 7/17/2012, 4:41 PM
@SageMode

Maybe physically but in no way is he more tactical or strategic. Tactics and strategy are pretty much Batman's super powers. Captain America is just super strong and has some military experience but he was no way near the same amount of training that Batman does.
brewtownpsych - 7/17/2012, 4:43 PM
how can this just be fan made ... there's massive fight and acrobatic choreography going on, wire work, you name it. i'm impressed, even if cap does look like the kid from the neighborhood that rakes everybody's leaves for $5
teabag - 7/17/2012, 4:43 PM
So thats what Nolans Batman looks like with good fight choreography ;P

Got to say that was pretty cool...especialy as i know what its like to have an oversided helmet :)
Cerebro - 7/17/2012, 4:51 PM
This might be one of the best fan made videos i have seen. Although Cap would kick Batmans ass in hand to hand and Caps suit was sub par, the production on this was excellent. More please.
lukeCage2012 - 7/17/2012, 4:53 PM
@RidiculousFanBoyDemands. Thank you! I've been asking myself that question for years. Don't get me wrong i'm not one of those guys all over batman's nutz for [frick]ing no reason but how the hell did Steve rogers master all forms of martial arts when he was frozen for like 60 years or how does spiderman all of the sudden know hand to hand combat after getting bit by a spider. Getting super strength does make you a better fighter. dont get me wrong it helps but i've seen ripped guys get their ass beat by guys half their size cuz they don't have any skills.
ralfinader - 7/17/2012, 4:53 PM
That was alot better than I was expecting, and yeah, Cap looks like he is 4F there. I think they are evenly matched, where Bats fighting and gadgets take away Cap's max-human agility and strength advantage. But if they kept going at it like they were in that vid, Cap would eventually prevail because he has max-human endurance, Bats would tire out eventually.
Rhys - 7/17/2012, 4:58 PM
The Captain wins hands down.

And Captain America spent years in the military learning and becoming one of the greatest military strategists as well as one of the worlds foremost hand-to-hand combatants. So don't give me that "Captain America doesn't know anything" crap.
PeterDarker - 7/17/2012, 5:01 PM
@Ridiculous, since when has Spider-Man ever done a certain "fighting style"? He uses his agility and spider sense to kick, punch, dodge, and block. Thats it.
teabag - 7/17/2012, 5:02 PM
Having skill like Batman is an avantage...but even if someone like spider-man couldnt compete in skill one punch would send Bats into a coma :P
SageMode - 7/17/2012, 5:03 PM
BIAZZARONUMBER -"batman is smarter, a better tactician/fighter, and deals with guys stronger then him all the time."

What makes Batman a better tactician / fighter? And Cap deals with guys that outclass him also.
MrReese - 7/17/2012, 5:03 PM
That was pretty impressive 4 fan made.Batman wins tho Cap needed his shield,in a hand 2 hand combat he would definitely lose.

@RFBD I know what u mean about the hand 2 hand combat never understood it.What u said tho reminds me of this scene.

Gromblidor - 7/17/2012, 5:04 PM
Ba ha ha! This is a joke right? Cap would break Bat Fart's jaw with one solid connect. You people lack knowledge of the human body and physics. Batman=human, Captain America=super human. Game over.
SageMode - 7/17/2012, 5:06 PM
IM53

Batman would defeat Daredevil. Although it won't be a easy as people might think.

But if anything, a BLACK PANTHER vs BATMAN fight would be a lot more comparable.

ckal - 7/17/2012, 5:09 PM
RBFD-

With Captain America we are told he was trained intensely while becoming Captain America. After he was thawed out as well in current day, he has trained with many top tier fighters in the MU. I know that's not a lot to go off of, and what you said is not wrong, but that's all I got.

With Spider-Man, he has never been a master at any martial arts as far as I know, until recently. He trained for a long time with Shang-Chi and created his own style of fighting he refers to as "spider-fu." It basically utilizes his natural enhanced abilities as Spider-Man, and now he actually has additional martial arts training to compliment that to make him a better fighter. Previous to this Spider-Man was necessarily a good fighter, more so reliant on his super powers and acrobatic style.
lukeCage2012 - 7/17/2012, 5:09 PM
@SageMode Now that would be a hell of a fight. They say BP is the Batman of the Marvel universe so i would love to see this go down.
ckal - 7/17/2012, 5:10 PM
I've always thought Cap could take Batman, but it would be such a close match.
Keldor - 7/17/2012, 5:10 PM
@SageMode: Couldnt agree more. Cap would mop the floor with Bats in a hand to hand fight.
ckal - 7/17/2012, 5:11 PM
Edit to my first post:

"Previous to this Spider-Man was NOT necessarily a good fighter..."

Also, after his training with Shang Chi, he is still not a master at any martial arts.
redcorn44 - 7/17/2012, 5:11 PM
I've been gone for awhile, but I'm glad there are still some sober minded people on this wonderful site.

In what fantasy land does batman whoop caps ass like he does in this video? Cap connects with the shield=bats picking his teeth off the pavement (if he lives)
1ncredibleJ0C - 7/17/2012, 5:12 PM
CA all day Batman is good dont get me wrong CA has the super soldier serum which makes him better than jus bein human
ieatlegos - 7/17/2012, 5:13 PM
If Captain America's Vibranium shield absorbs 99% of vibrations, it would have no effect on someone if he hit them with it.
silverdog - 7/17/2012, 5:13 PM
those were the best batman and captain america they found? aunt may can kick both their asses....
teabag - 7/17/2012, 5:16 PM
Your fav character is the winner.....skill and power rarely comes into it other then t form the excuse to how they won :)
teabag - 7/17/2012, 5:18 PM
I dont ever remember Bruce Lee fighting people with super powers?? :P
Keldor - 7/17/2012, 5:18 PM
Comparing Batman to Bruce Lee is ridiculous. Bruce Lee would beat the hell out of Batman. Bruce Lee Vs Cap would be a good fight. Batman is good for fight normal powere villains like Falconi,TwoFace,Joker,Penguin,CatWoman.Ridler etc etc etc. Cap>Bats.
BuckyCap - 7/17/2012, 5:21 PM
@Gromblidor - You lack knowledge of the characters. Batman = physical peak human. Captain America = physical peak human. The only difference is how they got there.
Masterkalel - 7/17/2012, 5:21 PM
I'm surprised nobody has posted this video series yet! Their production quality is OUTSTANDING

TheLoveDoc - 7/17/2012, 5:22 PM
"Captain America would beat Batman in hand to hand!"
lol
Have you read the comics?
He's only trained in a few hundred forms of fighting.
TruBeliever - 7/17/2012, 5:22 PM
@ the Bat lovers I think you are ALL forgetting that after getting the Serium, it increased not only Cap's strength, agility and endurance but also his intelligence. Steve went through training and he IS a Master at hand to hand combat and military strategy. He fought in WW2 people!! as the leader of the Invanders and the All Winners Squad , while Bats was running around Gotham pretending to be Sherlock Holmes. Cap has stood toe to toe with Korvac and faced Thanos(alone). The only way Bats defeats Cap is with a surprise attack and his utility belt, which is how he would do it and I don't blame him. In a straight up fight this one would go to Captain America.
SageMode - 7/17/2012, 5:23 PM
BIZZARONUMBER1

How Batman got to being in peak human condition as opposed to Cap is pretty irrelevant.

Who you're trained by or how youve trained or how long you trained doesn't necessarily determine the weight of your fighting skills. It's how you utilize your training from the skills you were taught that matter. Again, that not the case with everyone, but at the same time, it's not a determining factor either.
musashi - 7/17/2012, 5:30 PM
That was a great fight, but when Batman kicks Caps shield he shouldn't go backwards. *cough*vibranium*cough*.

Can someone post their 'fight' in Avengers vs JL where Batman concedes that Cap could beat him. But because it would take too long they just end up talking. Lol
musashi - 7/17/2012, 5:34 PM
All Cap does is train and fight. While Batman spends nights playing with Dick
musashi - 7/17/2012, 5:34 PM
Grayson
musashi - 7/17/2012, 5:34 PM
I agree with Tea. Whoever you like the most will win!
teabag - 7/17/2012, 5:35 PM
Bizzaro@ lol in a way i agree

even tho i do find the fan fight thing funny if i delve deep into my geek pit iv always thought the best way to do these things is to have a cage match without the costumes and gadgets

Bruce Wayne vs Peter Parker that sort of thing

As for Bats and Cap

Bats trained himself to the peak of physical perfection

but he is still only the peak of what his body naturaly allows him to be

Cap it the peak of what the body is fully capable of pushing the boundaries of his dna to its limits

:)
teabag - 7/17/2012, 5:36 PM
Mus@ lol :P
teabag - 7/17/2012, 5:37 PM
Your only as young as the sidekick you feel :)
marvel72 - 7/17/2012, 5:38 PM
captain america would win nuff said.
musashi - 7/17/2012, 5:39 PM
Hahaha Just busting ya balls. Continue your discussion!
teabag - 7/17/2012, 5:40 PM
Bizzaro@ [frick] that shit..

... im talking Intercontinetal belt hanging from the ceiling type shit lol :P
eyesore - 7/17/2012, 5:41 PM
did @tea just bring a sensible and rational thought to the argument? What the hell is going on!?
SageMode - 7/17/2012, 5:42 PM
BIZZARONUMBER

Like I said, it solely depends on the person being trained of how they utilize what they've been taught.

Just because you're trained by a master martial artist, that doesn't necessarily make you a master fighter also.

Caveboy0 - 7/17/2012, 5:44 PM
common mistakes in choreographing fights is making them long. anyone who has skill in fighting knows to take care of them quickly. strength does not beat technique neither does it prevent your weak points from being any less weak. go for the throughout and joints. When batman stepped on his kneed it should have injured Cap even if he is relatively super. And batman was focused on his chest way too much. you punch the the head, usually eyes or nose, and neck as well as pressure points on the side and of course the knees.
