Director James Gunn has revealed a new Behind-The-Scenes image from Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy, which reveals Lee Pace sitting in the cockpit of the Milano. He revealed a lot about the ship after releasing the pic:

Ronan takes the Milano for a spin. So many of us on the cast and crew were like kids around the giant toys on set. Lee Pace, who plays Ronan, wanted his photo in Peter Quill's ship and I happily obliged. The Milano, though hardly the biggest set in the film, was possibly production designer Charlie Wood's most impressive. In person it seemed every inch a believable spacecraft. It was two levels high and inspired equally by the Apollo space program, the pulp art of Chris Foss, American muscle cars, and what we imagined was an older cousin Peter Quill idolized who had a 1980's stoner van (some of the walls have shag carpeting). The Milano is a souped-up version of the Ravagers' M-ships. Charlie Wood and I discussed early on that different cultures would have different cultural priorities. On Earth all of our technology is geared towards the priorities of ease and luxury. But other worlds could have other priorities - say, aesthetics or procreation. In the case of the Ravagers, what was most important was a tactile sense of control. Of course they had the technology for more automated crafts, but they wanted to be in control and totally feel the power of the engines and the gears beneath them. Touch is important. So all of their ships were designed around this one concept.

From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team--the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits--Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon; Groot, a tree-like humanoid; the deadly and enigmatic Gamora; and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand--with the galaxy's fate in the balance.

just saw it, whats funny is that ,that is Star Lords ship, The Milano and Pace auditioned for Peter Quill/Star Lord and while Gunn didnt think he fit the the type of Star lord they were going for in the film, he was still very impressed with him and told him to audition for Ronan and he did and he blew everyone away and so he became Ronan

love the amount of thought that Gunn and his crew put into designing each ship and its awesome Charlie Wood was behind the production design for this film because he did the production design for Thor:The Dark World and i love the sets of that film so much

@Superhero96 That is why I can't stop giggle when I read commens like, "the Milano was bigger inside than I thought". I'm sorry I'm not more mature than that.. She was awesome in The Outher Limits! And topless.. And possessed by a sex craving alien...
