In MONSTERS UNIVERSITY (set 10 years prior to the original MONSTERS, INC.), we discover that before Sulley and Mike were Scarers, they were rivals in the same college fraternity. See the computer renders of several characters from the upcoming prequel, both old and new, after the jump!

Upcoming Pixar got an early Halloween present from Disney yesterday, when an assortment of genuine monsters showed up in their email. Luckily, Upcoming Pixar was kind enough to share the wealth with the rest of us, posting the new computer generated renderings of characters from MONSTERS UNIVERSITY onto Flickr.

Upcoming Pixar also seemed hopeful that a new trailer for the film would be released soon, stating that Disney’s WRECK-IT-RALPH, which arrives in theaters next week, would "almost certainly have a new Monsters trailer attached."

After Cars 2, Brave and all of these sequels coming out, sadly Pixar is not the same anymore.

I don't mind this because there has only been one Pixar movie I hated with every fiber of my being (Wall-E) but I don't like how they are making sequels/prequels no one asks for or wants instead of listening to what we DO want! It's like they're saying "Oh you guys want Incredibles 2? Ok how bout we compromise? We will keep the "2" and just put a different movie in front of it!" Don't get me wrong, I love the Toy Story movies, but they have run their course, and are all the same premise. All the toys are happy, there's a major shake up, Woody notices something wrong, Woody tries telling the other toys about what's wrong, other toys get angry and shun Woody, Woody goes off by himself then has to return to save the day. At least Incredibles set themselves up for a sequel perfectly, and dammit I want the same actors back!!!
