Primetime television stars Nathan Fillion and Tim Daly, the reigning voices of Green Lantern and Superman, respectively, join an exciting group of actors reprising their famed cartoon roles in Justice League: Doom, an all-new entry in the popular series of DC Universe Animated Original Movies due in early 2012 from Warner Home Video.

Justice League: Doom finds Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Cyborg and Batman on their heels when a team of super villains discover and implement the Dark Knight’s “contingency plans” for stopping any rogue Justice League member. The story is inspired by Mark Waid’s much-heralded “JLA: Tower of Babel.”

alucard365 - 11/13/2011, 11:46 AM
Good to see the true leader of the Justice League (BATMAN )front and center on the cover.
RunDTC - 11/13/2011, 11:47 AM
looks cool
marvel72 - 11/13/2011, 11:49 AM
superman should be the true leader not batman,he should be second in command.
Jordanstine - 11/13/2011, 11:50 AM
Yuck.

The fact that Plastic Man from the original comic storyline was replaced with Cyborg simply so that they could use a "token black character" (since Green Lantern can no longer be John Stewart) is just retarded.

LEEE777 - 11/13/2011, 11:53 AM
Ooooooh F'ing sweet! ; D

Cool find @ Paul!
Rosso - 11/13/2011, 11:55 AM
@Jordanstine,

I appreciate the effort to have diversity in the JL. Personally, I wish that there would be more of it instead of having 3 white guys, 1 white female, and a black. The Justice League is a representation of the world that it is in and I believe the world is a very diverse place.

Granted, I love Plastic Man and currently I am not a huge fan of Cyborg, but there are some kinks that need to be worked out in order to get the Justice League top notch to represent our generation.
shadow314 - 11/13/2011, 11:55 AM
what are batmans contengency plans for someone that didn't read the comics? I am curious...
seaman - 11/13/2011, 11:58 AM
caaant wait get in!
I - 11/13/2011, 12:00 PM
@ Rosso Well said
batmitedimension - 11/13/2011, 12:02 PM
Why is Cyborg there? -.- Flash should have been there instead and Cyborg shouldn't be in this movie int he first place! One of the few things that still piss me off about the New 52 is Cyborg in the Justice League. He's a teen titan!
rbfn04 - 11/13/2011, 12:02 PM
@Jordanstine is more "trying to shove the DCnU in our faces" thing.

MrSuperheromoviefan - 11/13/2011, 12:10 PM
is this watchmen?
rbfn04 - 11/13/2011, 12:10 PM
@alucard365 @Dawnelldo @marvel72 I'll let John Stewart settle it for y'all

marvel72 - 11/13/2011, 12:16 PM
@ Dawnelldo & @rbfn04

personally i would say order of rank would be......

1st superman (icon they all look up to)

2nd batman

3rd wonder woman

4th green lantern

5th the flash

but i'm no dc expert but thats what i think.
marvel72 - 11/13/2011, 12:18 PM
@ thegoddamnsuperguy

i know mate, thats who i think should be leader.
rbfn04 - 11/13/2011, 12:19 PM
@marvel72 I kinda agrre with what John Stewart saidand I posted above. Also, SUperman (at least DCU) never saw himself as a leader. Was always humble and all that...
RyanLantern77 - 11/13/2011, 12:22 PM
Cover looks identical to Batman: Face the Face
rbfn04 - 11/13/2011, 12:23 PM
@Superguy Superman cared too...

And, about Young Justice's Robin, refer to above, John Stewart talking about Bats and Supes. Robin sound just like Bats.
marvel72 - 11/13/2011, 12:27 PM
@ rbfn04

what john stewart says are valid points for leadership, but
i see it as when there in a time of trouble superman is at the front of the que leading them into battle.

JULEZ13 - 11/13/2011, 12:28 PM
Of course Batman would be the main character on the cover. -_-

Great artwork though.

@Jordanstine: I agree. Its annoying. I'm all for diversifying the comic book world, but not if it means changing the story or character persona. There are other ways to go about it.

People need to stop caring so much about race. Let the story be. Writers should just start creating new stories including non-white characters and everyone will be happy.
Destroyer14 - 11/13/2011, 12:30 PM
Batman is technically the leader, he was the one always giving out the plans.

Great find Paul.
rbfn04 - 11/13/2011, 12:32 PM
@Dawnelldo yeah, of the trinity I believe DIana owuld be the best leader. Balancing warrior expertise with kindness.

@marvel72 I agree. But, leading the JLA, barking orders and all. I don't see that as his style...
AC1 - 11/13/2011, 12:37 PM
Batman's not a leader. Any true Batman fan would know Batman's definitely not the Justice League leader. He's a tactician, he's suspicious, he's made these contingency plans because he trusts no one. Leaders have to trust their followers. Batman is a reluctant member of the League, who only fights along side them when he decides it's completely necessary. Given the first safe opportunity, he'd go back to working alone or with his own hand picked team (meaning Robin/Batgirl/Nightwing) in less than a heartbeat.

The only reason he's main on the cover is that this story is more focussed on him. He's the cause of this, he made the contingency plans, he's inadvertently put his teammates in danger. The reason they're reflected on that batarang is that they're against him. Otherwise, they'd be stood behind him, in support. They feel he's betrayed them, that he's let his distrustful nature get to the point that he could risk all of their safety.
Mrcool210 - 11/13/2011, 12:37 PM
wouldnt the art in canada be the same for the states?
AC1 - 11/13/2011, 12:38 PM
Batman, to the JLA, is essentially what Wolverine was supposed to be to the X-Men. A loner, and someone who joined out of necessity, not due to wanting to be part of a team.
Misterfan - 11/13/2011, 12:39 PM
HM ..HM .. HAHAHAHAhahaha!
PaulRom - 11/13/2011, 12:42 PM
@ACira My thoughts exactly.
@Mrcool210 Not sure, I'm just adding the note that it's Canadian in case it isn't the same as the US one.

The League are democratic - there is no leader. They have a chairperson to make the final decision, which has changed various times over the years. The last 'real' chairperson was Black Canary, although after she disbanded The League, Batman did take over the role. This was Dick Grayson though, not Bruce Wayne.

Batman is field operative, when they go into battle, Batman calls the shots.

And personally, I am gutted Plastic Man has not been included in this story, he was a pretty important character in the Tower of Babel story. Could have easily dropped Martian Manhunter for Cyborg, like in the New 52.
freakybatman - 11/13/2011, 12:53 PM
Great cover art, I'm so excited for this movie.
AK47 - 11/13/2011, 1:02 PM
Wow! The art is beautiful!
rbfn04 - 11/13/2011, 1:05 PM
@Superguy still, it was his boy, his BFF. He took it pretty hard. Pa Kent a New Krypton blowing up didn't help either...
hush - 11/13/2011, 1:07 PM
@ Dawnelldo

Superman agreed it was a good idea to come up with a way to stop him, which is why he gave him the Kryptonite ring.

In the comic they are weirded out that one of their own could sit and make plans to bring them down. The point of The League is trusting each other and Batman broke that trust.

This is the exact argument they have in the comic, three support Batman (to a degree) and four are against - although Superman never votes because Batman has already worked out Superman will vote against him and leaves The League.

Tower of Babel is one of the best stories ever written for the JLA, I highly recommend anyone who hasn't yet read it to read it.
Ichaos - 11/13/2011, 1:15 PM
Why does Canada need its own special cover art? Its not like they have to depict bacaon and need to show round ham instead of in strips
Ichaos - 11/13/2011, 1:16 PM
@theGDSoopwerman So the new Superman is a deadbeat dad? Didn't they go over that territory in Superman Returns when they made him into a super stalker/evesdropper
EpicMan123 - 11/13/2011, 1:18 PM
eh. ill check it out i guess

and hey, check out the second preview of my upcoming 100-part story Allegiance in fan fic!
rbfn04 - 11/13/2011, 1:25 PM
@Superguy I was justsayin. You said only the Batfamily took it hard. I was stating, Supes took it mad ahrd too.

What do you mean? "Superman" just choke Batman half to dead
hush - 11/13/2011, 1:25 PM
@ TheGODDAMNSUPERGUY - In second follow up story to Tower of Babel, Dream Team (in the graphic novel Divided We Fall) J'onn J'onzz even refers to Batman as the field tactician. I would get my graph and check but my ankle is a bit busted and I can't get up (feeling a bit sorry for myself here - stupid skateboard). I think he sways something along the lines of 'In lieu of the official League tactician I am open to suggestions'. I think either Diana or Kyle say something along the same lines also.
aRandomSinisterClone - 11/13/2011, 1:27 PM
F cyborg. Forcing a minority character just for the sake of having a minority in it is worse then having none at all. He's a shitty character, n people don't like him forced into shit he doesn't belong in.
hush - 11/13/2011, 1:30 PM
Love that 'Hush Heroes' pic.
