Cobra Commander Spotlighted In Latest G.I. JOE: RETALIATION Character Poster

A follow-up to the 2009 release of G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra, which grossed over $300M worldwide, Paramount Pictures, MGM and Skydance Productions, in association with Hasbro and di Bonaventura Pictures, commences production on G.I. Joe: Retaliation. In this sequel, the G.I. Joes are not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra; they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence.




Starring Dwayne Johnson, Channing Tatum, Ray Park, Adrianne Palicki, D.J. Cotrona, Bruce Willis and Ray Stevenson, G.I. Joe: Retaliation is set to hit theaters June 29th, later this year.

I think he looks bad ass. His costume from the cartoon isn't an easy one to transfer to real life. They did a great job.

CloneKev: From what I remember, they intentionally avoided the usage of the hood in the very first place, due to its similarities to the Ku Klux Klan. Not sure about now, though.

I'm still hoping, though, for this Cobra Commander to be a different person than Rex Lewis. Y'know, perhaps, like Rex is just a decoy to start the movement of Cobra, or actually a mere test subject for the nanovirus...or whatever, while this Cobra Commander is the true leader of Cobra. That could do a lot.

COBRA COMMANDER FTW YES!! I love it when Villians get the great treatment, DAMN COBRA COMMANDER looks like he came straight outta the Comics/TV Show/Toy Package LOL this summer the TRUE G.I. JOE Movie is given to its fans!

AWESOME!!!

I hope he sounds like the original Cobra Commander from the cartoon, lol, doubt it. The guy who did his voice on the cartoon also did Star Scream's voice in Transformers G1.

@Nomis...right..cause bright blue leather would look MUCH better and much more menacing and militant like.
