In Superman vs. The Elite, Superman's effectiveness as a super hero comes into question when a new group of super powerful crusaders, known as "The Elite," appear on the scene. As super heroes, the Elite know no bounds, and are more than willing to kill, even on a massive scale, to stop villainy -- putting them on a collision course with the ever-ethical, yet preferably non-lethal Man of Steel.

Anyway, the animation style... Not digging. I'll pick it up... But, just not crazy about this one.

Bring on the flash animated movie. :)
thamorse - 5/10/2012, 12:58 PM
@Vermillion, I've been a fan for 6 years, but the fact that they pulled off Stargasm won them my undying loyalty. The concept sounds like a joke, but it actually worked.
toekneemango - 5/10/2012, 1:00 PM
What in God's name is up with Superman's giant head/chin? Looks like they were playing GoldenEye in DK mode when they designed it!
RidiculousFanBoyDemands - 5/10/2012, 1:05 PM
Yeah, I'm going to have to pass on this one.
Scabsallover - 5/10/2012, 1:06 PM
I love the DCanimation but this isn't the direction I want them to go.
Hellsing - 5/10/2012, 1:12 PM

You knoe DC has been running the animation game for quite some time now. Stop Trolling
rbfn04 - 5/10/2012, 1:25 PM
Funny they decided to turn this story in an animated movie with all the DCnU crap going around...
Knightrider - 5/10/2012, 1:28 PM
I wouldn't let the animation put anyone off, the comic version of this film is a great read so this will be a really good movie.
plasticman - 5/10/2012, 1:29 PM
Just bring us a new Justice League series. They are hinted at in Young Justice but why not make a new JLA series similar to Unlimited? I loved that show. (Could of dropped Elongated Man and added the ol' P-Man.)
Spock - 5/10/2012, 1:30 PM
This looks good but Iam about burnt out with Supes & BatMan. Can we please get something else like say!
126thst - 5/10/2012, 1:43 PM
Weak.
StuckInPanels - 5/10/2012, 1:44 PM
looks like Extreme Ghostbusters level animation.
Turtlestrong - 5/10/2012, 1:50 PM
Yeah, i'm going to need DC to make a feature length Captain Marvel, anothe Wonder Woman or even Flash animated movie. I think Batman and Superman should get a rest for a DVD or so...heck, even Nightwing. Maybe do a movie about Nightwing in his year one away from Batman.
thetrojan - 5/10/2012, 2:00 PM
i quite like what ive read about the elite, but the union jacked leader has a terrible liverpudlian scottish cockney accent which is really shit.
SugarYumYum - 5/10/2012, 2:00 PM
What the [frick] is happening to the quality of DC's animation? JL:D was BARELY passable but this is just plain horrible. Go back to JL/JLU style please, don't fix what ain't broke ffs. -___-

The movie itself looks good though so I'll try to get pass the horrid art to appreciate it.

And yeah, bring JL back to TV please.
Supes17 - 5/10/2012, 2:02 PM
The animation looks terrible.
What the [frick], DC?
Supes17 - 5/10/2012, 2:02 PM
[frick] THIS MOVIE
Tevii - 5/10/2012, 2:03 PM
This is the FIRST DC Animated movie that Im not excited to see...
Out of ALL the stories out there, why this??
Spock - 5/10/2012, 2:04 PM
Can we @ least get something new other than Supes & JL?
ACira - 5/10/2012, 2:04 PM
as soon as the logos ended and the first bits of animation showed I had to turn it off. Looks like complete and utter horseshit.
Knightrider - 5/10/2012, 2:07 PM
I think out of all the DC and Marvel animated movies Red Hood still remains my fav and the animation for
Knightrider - 5/10/2012, 2:07 PM
it to was great
Supes17 - 5/10/2012, 2:15 PM
Red Hood IS the best one so far
Tevii - 5/10/2012, 2:18 PM
Red Hood and Wonder Woman are the two best.
MarsivNayr - 5/10/2012, 2:27 PM
what about JL Doom? I liked that one too
MarsivNayr - 5/10/2012, 2:28 PM
But yes....Red Hood be the best so far.
thewolfx - 5/10/2012, 2:29 PM
as a superman fan i must say this looks like utter shit

marvel is kickin your ass dc you cant just rely on that emo with parent issues .. wake up!
rbfn04 - 5/10/2012, 2:34 PM
@thewolf it's a great Superman story. That show that Superman (Not Extreme Superman from DCnU) can be effective in the 21st century...
thewolfx - 5/10/2012, 2:48 PM
yes yes rb im sure the story will be decent to good but the presentation is not worthy of the man of steel

even allstar superman looks better then this
jaycr - 5/10/2012, 2:48 PM
I read the comic and I think that it is an interesting story. The character design is cartoony and looks kindda rushed though, but I won't call it shit until I see it. BTW, Maverlites, stop been so juvenile.
VIRILEMAN - 5/10/2012, 3:23 PM
That looks terrible.
rbfn04 - 5/10/2012, 4:13 PM
I dunno. I kinda dig the old school animation style. Kinda sick of all cgi everything
ISeeStupidPeople - 5/10/2012, 4:17 PM
Surprised by the hate for this. The art's not that great, but the story looks plenty interesting.

My least favorite of the DC Animation stuff is still probably Superman/Batman: Public Enemies. Such stupid looking abs.
Batman5 - 5/10/2012, 5:44 PM
idk abt this one...
RGINLA - 5/10/2012, 5:53 PM
"It LOOKS bad." "It LOOKS terrible", etc... WHO CARES! Y'all are all going to watch it anyway!!! LOL... Besides, this was one of the BEST Superman stories since the DC reboot from Crisis on Infinite Earths.

As for me, I just hope that they have the scene between Lex and Supes on Lex's secret island!!!
DanielGrimaldi - 5/10/2012, 6:20 PM
I'm not sure I really like the animation style either. I love DC Animated movies, but they have been getting softer and softer lately. I still don't know If 'd buy this one yet?

My favorites are:
Wonder Woman (The most violence ever in this movie, the opening scene is amazing)
Batman: Under The Red Hood
Superman Batman: Apocalypse (Love the fight scenes in this one).
Justice League: Doom

DravenWayne88 - 5/10/2012, 6:37 PM
What's up with the animation? Very lackluster. With all the artists and animators that work for DC, someone could've came up with much better designs.
113 - 5/10/2012, 7:53 PM
I really don't like the animation, especially because Young Justice/Doom animator has done such a high-level job. Anything other than that is just rudimentary now.
Darkapollo - 5/10/2012, 8:00 PM
I shan't masturbate fiendishly to this pile of bile
SwingsetKnight - 5/10/2012, 9:42 PM
So, ah...aside from the animation looking rather subpar, my major problem with this is that I'm a Superman APOLOGIST and I spent both clip and trailer fighting down an overwhelming desire to see the Elite kick his teeth down his throat.

Why would DC do this? Bad character design for the Man of Steel, his villains come off looking thrice as cool as he does...well, there's only one explanation. I've suspected it for some time. DC's owners Warner Brothers have been secretly bought out by Lexcorp. Batman remains cool only by virtue of Wayne Enterprises's battalion of slander suit lawyers breathing down Luthor's hairless neck.
rbfn04 - 5/11/2012, 1:14 AM
@SteveRogersSon whattup fam? Just been busy with side projects and work and all that bullshit that pays for our comics, lol.

@SwingsetKnight than the clip did it's job. It's a story about people thinking good ol Supes is outdated (ring a bell?) and "not cool" and him proving he's the dude. Even if his style is old school like the Beastie Boys...
SUPERSHADOWBAT - 5/11/2012, 5:52 AM
The storyline sounds good and there should be some good battles in this feature. The animation style they used in this isn't very appealing. I buy it for the story.
ComicBookGoth - 5/11/2012, 6:59 AM
I'm not digin' the animation style, but i'll probably check it out.
there hasn't Really been a DC-A feature i have hated.

dnno1 - 5/11/2012, 2:00 PM
@Vemillion, I hear that the next DCAU DTV after Batman will be "Flashpoint" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DBgITN9so8&feature=player_embedded#t=318s).
