Samuel L. Jackson Joining ROBOCOP Reboot

Nick Fury himself is said to be joining Joel Kinnaman and Gary Oldman in MGM's anticipated reboot of the RoboCop franchise, which begins filming in September in Toronto.

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Samuel L. Jackson - who most recently played Nick Fury in Marvel's The Avengers - is joining the cast of MGM's RoboCop reboot, which begins production this September. Joel Kinnaman (The Killing) is set to star as cop Alex Murphy, while Gary Oldman (Commissioner Gordon in Chris Nolan's Batman films) will play Murphy's scientist-creator Norton.

The site says that Jackson will play Pat Novak, "a charismatic TV mogul and a powerful force in the RoboCop world." Jose Padilha is set to direct the reboot, which will be produced by Strike Entertainment’s Marc Abraham and Eric Newman. Jackson is currently filming Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained.

RoboCop is set to hit theaters August 3rd, 2013.

Ok, I will say, as much as I love both SJ and Oldman, them being part of a project is not really any indication of quality! They both make some outright turds sometimes..just sayin.

Every news are coming good about this reboot, but i hope Robocop wear a helmet, because director say weeks ago the it was going to be without helmet, plz don´t!!!

He is going to look somewhat like Iron Man I would assume, this movie should kick ass, tits, balls, and anything else it can, very underrated IP if you ask me.
