Two New TOTAL RECALL Viral Posters Spotted

A couple of new viral posters for Columbia Pictures' upcoming Total Recall remake have found their way online (though not in the highest quality). Check them out after the jump.

Total Recall is an action thriller about reality and memory, inspired anew by the famous short story “We Can Remember It For You Wholesale” by Philip K. Dick. Welcome to Rekall, the company that can turn your dreams into real memories. For a factory worker named Douglas Quaid (Colin Farrell), even though he's got a beautiful wife (Kate Beckinsale) who he loves, the mind-trip sounds like the perfect vacation from his frustrating life - real memories of life as a super-spy might be just what he needs. But when the procedure goes horribly wrong, Quaid becomes a hunted man. Finding himself on the run from the police – controlled by Chancellor Cohaagen (Bryan Cranston), the leader of the free world – Quaid teams up with a rebel fighter (Jessica Biel) to find the head of the underground resistance (Bill Nighy) and stop Cohaagen. The line between fantasy and reality gets blurred and the fate of his world hangs in the balance as Quaid discovers his true identity, his true love, and his true fate.

in the same movie together..........99% of the people going to see this movie will be there only for those two. I guatantee it. :)

looks better than I thought for sure, still dont like how its not on mars **again if its a remake why change it ?!?! say its a movie based off the original then hows about?** thats my biggest knock of hollywood these days, they use something or a character thats already solidified and that the obliviously liked enough the first time to do again or remake and decide to change it and label it the same, drive me nuts! but hells ya becks and biel !!

I don't know if even beck and biel can drive me to see this. Look's like a mix between Minority Report and every common hand 2 hand high action fight movie.

Those posters are kind of interesting. I loved Total Recall as a kid. In my eyes, this remake has a lot to live up too.

So my two choices are either a pro MMA fighter, or a Hollywood starlet?

Well, being a guy, I couldn't wear that dress nearly as well as that lovely woman is. So I think I'll go with being a pro MMA fighter. :P

The Trolls keep watching the classic and good luck to you with that one.

Think I'll follow the sheep and watch the remake/re-imagining. It'll cost me a few bucks, and two hours of my life, then I'll make a judgement.

I'm currently reading the original story (I bought the original sci-fi mag that it was printed in as a gift for my nephew -- thought I'd give it a read before wrapping it up), and while it's no surprise that it's a better story than the original movie, I had no idea it would be SO much better.

Most interestingly, what I've read so far would be a FAR better movie than the original film, so at this point I hope they adhere more to the original story more in this remake. (Mind you, I'm maybe 1/3 through...so it may veer off into odd territory not befitting a film, but so far, I'm shocked how "filmic" K. Dick's story is.)

Yeah, people seem to forget that this is a story first, then an Arnold movie. So this isn't just a remake of the film, it is another interpretation of the ideas from the story. Well, hopefully.

@Wildbillyb - yeah...I'd thought the story was 80-some-odd pages, but it's only about 20 pages or so. I finished it last night. Good stuff. (The contents page of the magazine is in a strange format, so I'd thought the story was 80 pages, but they just don't list the stories in order is all.)

I hope Disney makes his King of the Elves into a feature (which has been on again, off again). That was a really fun one too...but, obvs, completely different from "...Wholesale."
