Here's a box office update for Sony Pictures' Men In Black 3, which has been playing in theaters since May 25th. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the third flick in the successful film series has now grossed $599.4 million worldwide, which is the highest gross in the Barry Sonnenfeld-directed series. The original Men In Black earned $589.4M worldwide back in 1997, while Men In Black II (2002) grossed a lower $441.8M globally.

Men In Black 3's international gross was $429.8M, compared to $169.6M domestically (ironically, this is the lowest domestic gross of the series). The threequel (which stars Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones and Josh Brolin) has earned big numbers in Japan, grossing $37.6M so far. The movie has grossed $32.8M in the UK, while receiving $24.2M in Germany.

This should be good news for Sony, as there has been discussions of a possible fourth film in the series. Have you seen Men In Black 3 yet?

North American numbers on movies are slowly becoming less and less relevant in the scheme of things.
REDSTORM - 7/1/2012, 11:38 AM
It had a severe lacking of Frank the Pug and the Worms but otherwise it was great.

Sony Pictures are doing really good at the box office this year.

$753.5M domestic through the 28th, vs. $524.1M domestic through the same date last year.

With Spider-Man, Skyfall, and the Seal Team 6 film yet to come, we could be looking at one of their biggest years ever.

And the website that was predicting their doom last year? They've admitted they were wrong about it.

I hope Star Trek XII, Man of Steel and IM3 do just as well next year

bloody loved MIB3 and that twist at the end with J, was great. definetly better than 2 but I think it ended fittingly with this one. Unless they can come up with one hell of a good plot for the next one, I think its time to end it

and another reason I dont want to see another movie is I doubt there will be any Tommy Lee Jones in the next one, he looked visibly old in this one
