TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES TV Show Gets A Premiere Date

Nickelodeon have set a September premiere date for their anticipated new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series. Find out when the Turtles return after the jump.

Entertainment Weekly has learned that Nickelodeon have set a premiere date for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, a reboot of the successful animated series. According to the site (who debuted the first trailer just a couple weeks ago), the show will make its debut on the network on Saturday, September 29th at 11 AM with two back-to-back half hour episodes. Nickelodeon is expected to officially announce the premiere date on Saturday. The series will consist of 26 episodes, and is described by the network as “Funnier and with more Ninjutsu than ever before, the show will explore the companionship of four teenage brothers learning to rely on themselves and one another as they unravel the mystery of their existence and grow to become the heroes in a half-shell that they are destined to be.”

The voice cast consists of Jason Biggs as Leonardo, Sean Astin as Raphael, Greg Cipes as Michelangelo, Rob Paulsen as Donatello, Mae Whitman as April O'Neil, Hoon Lee as Master Splinter and Kevin Michael Richardson as Shredder.

Pretty interesting how the networks have tried to restart Saturday Morning cartoons. This year, Young Justice, Thundercats, Ben 10, Green Lantern, The Legend of Korra and now Ninja Turtles have been put on Saturdays.

hey guys i just saw the first episode at a comic con pre show and what i have to say is ITS WATCHABLE its not to kiddie but tmnt fans might like it

^^Word. - - Animation looks kind of strange. Compared to other incarnations I can't help feeling that it could've been better. Either way this is yet another show to add to my TV schedule, which is pretty decent considering what it used to be when I was growing up as a little dude. Ah, memories.

Rob Paulsen is awesome, but the animation looks like garbage. I hope they're not aliens in this one.

This is as good animation as we're going to get from Nickelodeon Animation Studios. Obviously they aren't as wealthy or possess as many animators as Lucasfilm.

@Stumblin Rango's budget was 135 million dollars. Making every episode with that amount of money would bankrupt Nickelodeon. You obviously don't understand how money works in business.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles still has more detail and more fluid movement. Your "it looks like a PS1 game" statement is flawed.

@StarSpangledBruce, hey smart ass. I was just making a point that they're capable of making some amazing animation. Also, they have more than enough money to make as good as an animated show as LucasFilms. Even though that style in my opinion is no better than what the TMNT look like.

The teaser looked promising. It looked like it was based more on the Mirage comics, but this trailer is obviously a lot more like the Fred Wolf cartoon. It even has the theme tune from that show. Ah well. I'll still be tuning in every damn episode.

I love it! It's finally getting back to the way it should be. Shedder isen't a krang brain. And i love that they put the origanl music from the 80s TMNT. Im ahuge TMNT fan i still have my toys i love all the movies and have bolth eastmen & laird comics and the archies TMNT wich are more based off the comics, and Image came out with a TMNT comic and im a proud owner of it.

Hmm, not that jazzed about the animation style, but it might be alright. I may give it a look!
