Darren Aronofsky's anticipated Biblical epic Noah (based on the classic Bible story, as well as the director's European graphic novel) is expected to begin production this week in Iceland. And with that, we have some more casting news. Young actor Dakota Goyo - best known for his role in last year's Real Steel - has revealed via his Twitter account that he will be joining Aronofsky's big budget production, and will land in Iceland on Wednesday. No word on which character he will play, but stay tuned for more news surrounding the Paramount Pictures-distributed project. Goyo joins previously announced actors Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, Douglas Booth, Ray Winstone and Sir Anthony Hopkins. Goyo, who previously worked with Hopkins in Marvel Studios' comic book fantasy film Thor, will next be seen in Dreamworks Animations' Rise Of The Guardians, in theaters November 21st.

Noah is set to hit theaters March 28th, 2014.

Isn't Bale supposed to be in this too?

I'm usually not a fan of child actors, but Goyo is quite good in what I've seen him in. A fine addition to any film.

@HellsHamer: Bale was originally interested in starring, but he backed out due to scheduling issues. Then Crowe took his place as the title character.

I'll give it a viewing. At least it's not a reboot or reimagining.

How do you know Noah wasn't white?

The Jews presumably wrote the Old Testament, so surely a young Jewish man, Logan Lerman, can play a character in it? It's his birthright, you might say.

Plus, Jennifer Connelly's mother is Jewish.
