I think it would be extremely wise of Del Toro and Marvel to have Ruffalo as Banner.

Hulk tv show wont work,thats my view anyways,its gonna be like a soap opera with him hulking out now and then,I mean they are NOT gonna make him go Hulk every single episode I dont think,so whats the point,ok they made a tv show before but all they had to do was paint a man green and...fight a bear...in a lake..lol punisher tv show ftw

the old hulk tv series worked well enough with low budget affects and it was of it era so any who says a tv series wont work must be too young to remember wonder woman, hulk, and flash and need to understand how decent tv series are made

dont do it... just dont do it...

unless it's ruffalo and unless it ties into the movie and unless you can make hulk look exactly like he did in the movie everyone and their mother saw just scrap it. to do otherwise would be very damaging to the brand.

you have an opportunity to make shows that tie into the movie, an opportunity to introduce characters without spending $200 million over 2 years for 2 hours of entertainment. that opportunity is called HEROES FOR HIRE. not only is that a great name for a show but you could use all the street level heroes you don't have time for in the movie. then if Luke Cage and Iron Fist showed up in an avengers movie everyone would know "oh it's those guys from that hit TV show"

At the end of the day, they know what they're doing. They know what will work and won't work. A lot more than we do. It's their job. So, if they believe a Hulk TV show will work, then I'm inclined to believe them. They wouldn't even attempt this if they didn't think they could pull it off.

I look forward to it.

After two or three seasons of a Hulk tv show, they could release a related big screen flick with the same storyline/actors ala X-Files, Sex in the City, Star Trek. That's the best way to do this.

@BizzaroNumber1, I never understood this reasoning. Why are people with special abilities expected to perform heroics and save people for free? I mean, it's a job. You wouldn't expect people with talents in real life to use those talents for free, would you? Does a doctor use his medical skills for free? Does a teacher teach for free? What about people who risk their lives like cops, government agents and military. Do they do it for free? Would you expect them to?

Being a superhero and protecting the public is a full-time job. Why should they do it for free? Are they expected to always be available, while trying to hold down a job to support themselves?

@BizzaroNumber1, but there's a big difference. The Hulk series would be handled by Marvel Studios and producers like del Toro and David Eick, who actually know what they're doing.

Wonder Woman was developed by David E. Kelley, someone who had never worked with this type of material, wasn't very familiar with the character and had almost no input from DC Entertainment.

I would love a Hulk TV show, but the budget required to NOT make this look like it came out of the 70's (like I did...) or a SyFy original, has got to be high as hell! I hope to see it, and wouldn't mind them starting out some other Marvel shows to maybe create a Marvel TV Universe all it's own.

agree with marvel72, punisher tv show,ray stevens, fx or hbo, mobsters meets sons of anarchy. i know a lot of people who would watch that. I don't see a hulk show lasting to long and it might bring down all the peak love he got from the avengers. When he cant be the smash and wise cracker hulk that we all loved in the movie,will people still have that love?

I remember some1 from marvel saying "This show doesn't really have to show the Hulk." WTF was that!!!? A show about the Hulk but won't show the hulk!!! Sounds like that Star Wars tv show that won't have Vader in it.. FAIL

Not to sure about this tbh, would have been better if it were in the MCU, as that way you can introduce alot of the other less known charecters before throwing them on the big screen.

it really is a great opportunity that seems like its going to be wasted. to be able to tie in your tv shows with your movies in the same universe... i mean star trek and star wars are the only ones that come to mind, and star wars only has animated tv at this point... this is chance to see the tv characters on the big screen with the movie characters

I am impatient waiting for this series, hopefully at some Comic-Con, preferably that of San Diego, show some progress in 2013 to warm up the engines and forgetting about Smallville. ...

Hulk is only works when he is on a team....stand alone there's not much you can do besides banner having nerd boners / hulk smashing shit, I love the hulk but he really needs his marvel buddies around to keep him interesting.

like 99% of people here , just make a REAL Punisher Show. that can and would work on SOOOO many levels. Frank Castle is a way better choice of character for televison. He is clearly more grounded to reality.....But that Does not mean to ignore the marvel universe What so ever. like it would be nice to see newspapers with spider-man headlines and newsfootage of other heros doing their thing. like it needs layers. it really needs to feel like the marvel universe. like blade shows up to kill off this new vampire gang or some shit while Frank is laying into one of them already.
