Michael Rowe To Play Deadshot In ARROW

The Canadian actor has been cast as the DC Comics hitman Deadshot in episode three of The CW's Arrow television series. Additionally, check out comments from Marc Guggenheim and Greg Berlanti on the casting and the character's presence in the series.

Recently, it was confirmed that DC Comics villain Deadshot (best known for fighting Batman in the DC universe) will be taking on Oliver Queen in episode three of The CW's Arrow, a television series based on the Green Arrow character. Now, TV Guide has learned that Canadian actor Michael Rowe has been cast as the character, who will be making his debut on the show in "The Lone Gunman". Deadshot is the third villain confirmed to make an appearance; Deathstroke's mask was spotted in the pilot, and China White (played by X2's Kelly Hu) will be featured in the second episode.

"Deadshot doesn't speak much, so he has to have that physicality," says executive producer Marc Guggenheim on Deadshot. "And Michael certainly has that. He has that look." Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg both agree that the Emerald Archer will likely meet Deadshot again at some point later on in the series. "I think that's very possible," hints Berlanti.

Arrow will premiere on The CW Wednesday, October 9th. The series stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, Colin Donnell as Tommy, Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Willa Holland as Thea Queen, with Susanna Thompson as Moira Queen and Paul Blackthorne as Detective Quentin Lance.

Anyone hoping for reference to TDK on Arrow will be let down time and time again. WB wont allow their movie properties to be tied in to their TV show properties. Case in point the use of GA in Smallville over TDK. It's a shame because it is a great way to start the JLA but I don't see it happening.

He looks nothing like Floyd Lawton but still this is LIGHTYEARS beyond that dumb, cajun cowboy they had as "Deadshot" in Smallville.

This guy actually looks like he can seriously whoop ass. Now he just needs to grow out a mustache, darken his hair maybe and get on his suit and mask

Huh, I'm not familiar with this actor, but I'm looking forward to Deadshot on Arrow.

I'm a big Smallville fan, and I didn't care for how he was adapted on the TV show. He came off more like a Jonah Hex villain.
