Oh. First. Isn't the graphic novel supposed to come out before the film on this one? Hope it's better than holy terror!

@Starscream9289: I'd agree, but apparently the follow-up takes place during the events of the 300 battle, so a Leonidas cameo wasn't out of the question.

Butler deserves better, so I'm glad he's not doing it. The whole movie feels like a cash grab to me.

Well that sucks. In other words, Butler thinks its gonna suck!

Thanks for the heads up, GB! I was hesitant about this after it was announced Snyder wasn't returning. Unless this looks REALLY good, I'ma pass.

King Leonidas had a bit of a belly at the interview?.
It was 7 years ago he had to get in-shape for the role and the training (as evident on the blu-ray extras) was brutal. I wouldn't fancy having to get back to that crazy level of fitness at his age.

@biggest[foo foo] ... maybe dislike it for its historical inaccuracies and the fact that it clearly has historical biases

Oh wow... I was hoping he would be involved in some capacity.

300 was such a great movie. I'm glad I finally decided to sit and watch it.

I wasn't really too excited for this prequel idea to begin with. Now I don't think I'll bother with it.

Are you kidding me? 300 was epic and is better than most cbm's. It will be hard to live up to the first one though.

300 is a stand alone. Unless the same director continues a series of films, for me, those films remain stan alones. If you want, and i do, you can look at Star Wars as a stand alone. No one knows for sure whether their films are going to do so well that they will be allowed to move forward with additional films. Most sequels seem more like afterthoughts unless they are adaptions to book series like Lord of the Rings or serials like Twilight. One film that stands out in its dellusion that it would get additional sequels that didnt would be Pandorum. Personally i wouldnt mind seeing more but even this could apply to a stand alone rule.

300 was awesome but I don't know how to feel about this movie. Hopefully it doesn't suck

gaikinger- You can pretend that the film is a stand-alone, but that would not be consistent with reality.
