During an interview with Film Music Reporter, film composer Marco Beltrami - whose latest movie, Trouble With The Curve, is hitting theaters this week - reveals that he has signed on to score 20th Century Fox's upcoming comic book adaptation The Wolverine, which sees Hugh Jackman once again donning the claws of arguably the most popular X-Man. James Mangold (who previously worked with Beltrami on the 2007 Western film 3:10 To Yuma, which gave the composer his first Academy Award nomination) is directing a script written by Christopher McQuarrie (Valkyrie) and Mark Bomback (Unstoppable). The Wolverine follows Logan/Wolverine in Japan, where he confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will change him forever. The film (which is set for a July 26th, 2013 theatrical release) also stars Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova and Hiroyuki Sanada, among others. The movie is currently filming in Japan.
