Bruce doesn't need a sidekick. But whatever. Here's my money.

Trailer for this looks awesome. I'm a little dismayed that it wasn't a summer release, but given the roster of this year's summer movies, I'm cool with it. There's stuff I"m looking forward to just about every month in 2013.

I love the movie where Bruce Willis plays a cop trying to save the world... Either way, I love Die Hard so I'll pay even if it's Die Hard 25.

The first one was amazing, because a very human hero found himself against the odds and somehow overcame them, but not before suffering quite a bit. It was tense and solid. Every other iteration saw him become more and more like some sort of superhero, leaving behind everything that made John -- and the literary conceit of the character -- unique in the first place. I'm hoping this new film shows some humanity in JM and son once again. It ups the stakes when there's a chance at real peril for the hero.

the only thing that bothers me is the son ..... 20fox should have done a better casting.... some one a bit younger....and if justin long also has a cameo other than Mary Elizabeth Winstead it would be awesome.....

Meh. They stopped being Die Hard movies for me when they started teaming him up with people. And when he stopped wearing the hairpiece :-)

Immediately i saw Willis and Courtney in the poster i knew the tagline would be like father like son!;D

Not hugely excited about the film but probably check it out when it comes.

@hope420: I was thinking more like the fact that there's a Die Hard prequel graphic novel.

First two were fun. Giving McClane an entire city to play in in DH3 would have been a good one-off. But I think 4 should have returned the character to a confined (or at least more compact and defined) space. Now McClane is just like any other action hero.

So help me God, if they pass the mantle down to McClane Jr., I will burn Utica to the ground.

This should be good. It's dicey w/ older actors in action flicks, but Bruce Willis takes a beating better than, say, Harrison Ford. Watching him in the last Indiana Jones movie was downright painful.

Clueless Movie Exec #1: I'll ok another Die Hard, but we need to get a younger face in there to pull in the kids. Bruce is getting up there plus he's cutting into out profits.
Clueless Movie Exec #2: We can make the kid McLane's son...
Clueless Movie Exec #1: McMurphy?!! Who the hell is that? We're not making "Cukoos Nest" here you dumb ba$t*rd! We need a damn teenage sidekick for Willis! But not that damn Silent Jay fat kid like last time!! We need someone to pull in the young girls!
Clueless Movie Exec #2: Of course! He could play Willis's son!!!
Clueless Movie Exec #1: That's brilliant!! Why I can see the...wait...did he have a son? Wasn't it a daughter?
Clueless Movie Exec #2: We can say it's the character's "long lost" son.
Clueless Movie Exec #1: Hmmm...will the audience buy that?
Clueless Movie Exec #2: They did for "Indiana Jone and The Crystal Ship!!"
Clueless Movie Exec #1: That's Right! BRILLIANT! (presses intercom) Stella, get me Shaved LeBuff on the phone.....

@mrgordo, you do realize that the first movie established that he had both a son and daughter, right?
