Damn, woman. She hit it right on the head.

I actually just watched the episode of Always Sunny in Philadelphia with her on it last night. She's good.

The only reason Wonder Woman exists is because of the tight outfit and the hot pants. Anyone who says otherwise is delusional. There are zero memorable Wonder Woman solo stories you could even draw from to make a movie. She's just the token 'hot girl' of the Justice League. She is strong, and she is a woman, but how she is considered a role model is beyond me. I guess it must be because no one wants to be Hawk Girl.

I recently watched the animated Wonder Woman movie for the first time, and I really enjoyed it. Possibly the best on-screen depiction of the character to date. I'd love the live action movie to be heavily influenced by it.

@IronDean: You're not wrong. But that doesn't mean the character can't evolve. We've moved a long way since the character was originally developed. Wonder Woman can be much more than eye candy. She could be a strong woman that also embraces her feminine nature. If done correctly, she could be someone that I would want my daughter to look up to.

(Yes, I know she's not real and having your child look up to a fictional character seems silly to some. I grew up idolizing Captain American and that has helped me to become the man that I am today. Wonder Woman could be the same type of fictional role model for my daughter, if she was portrayed correctly.)

IronDean2099 - 1/10/2013, 10:32 AM
Grimfoe@ Fair points, and I get what you said about the character, but people on here expecting an epic, sophisticated Wonder Woman that's not going to rely on T&A and still be successful are kidding themselves. She doesn't even have any good villains.

She should b WW; looks just like how Jim Lee draws her
Frankly they should make it like Thor meets Xena with some 300 thrown in; make it an epic fantasy sci-fi with a fish-out-of-water/romance angle thrown into it, best way 2 handle tone n get butts of both sexes in seats

siggisuperman - 1/10/2013, 10:36 AM
@IronDean dude Wonder Woman is more then just that. She was a feminist icon back in the day. She should be reintroduced as such. DC tried to put some god-damned pants on her put the pussied out and shopped it into a skirt right before releasing the new 52. It's just strange now that there is porn accessible anytime anyday why there would need to be super sexy images in comics, I mean what do guys whack off to it ?

@LEVITIKUZ Maybe she sounds pissed because she wants WB to put out a successful WW film. As for you second post, they're not really in any position until the stop the fighting in house but I agree with your other point. If WB did put out a kickass WW movie, it would be the first successful mainstream super heroine. GL....since the travesty that came out in 2011, you can forget about another GL movie for now.
IronDean2099

DC movies really don't have much hope. We won't get another solo Green Lantern movie, rebooted, John Stewart or otherwise. Superhero movies with a female lead have a long history of failing miserably, so that rules out Wonder Woman. Green Arrow is doing ok but that will stay seperate from the movies. Aquaman doesn't exactly scream blockbuster either. Batman won't get touched for quite some time. Man of Steel looks amazing, but I don't think the general audience will be easily convinced. The Flash needs to happen, and it needs to be done damn well or no more DC movies for about a decade.

Being a minor character doesn't give you the right to act like you know anything about it.

Lets ask the "NO MOAR DED COPS" guy about what he thinks about Justice League now.
IronDean2099
IronDean2099 - 1/10/2013, 10:47 AM
She's only a feminist icon because of the old TV show plus the fact that she's the most recognizable female superhero. Nothing to do with her rich long history as a character.
ATrueHero1987
ATrueHero1987 - 1/10/2013, 10:47 AM
@thewonderer How do you know she's not a fan of the Wonder Woman comics? She did say that on a TV show that she use to read comics.

Another thing, be careful with that first statement @thewonderer, because you can't talk yourself. You more than likely haven't picked up a comic yourself or you probably just borrowed one or 2 from the library. Just because you MAY have read an issue or 2 of Avengers, Batman or whatever, doesn't make you an expert.

"WBs is in a position to change comic book movies forever and make Marvel scared. If they introduced Wonder Woman and John Stewart GL, you introduced the first mainstream female superhero and African American superhero. Marvel has yet to do that and it opens the door for so many other heroes. Hopefully WBs does well with them both."

1. The first female superhero was Fantomah and the first African American superhero was The Falcon.

2. Marvel Studios has made live action movies since 2008 and already we've got heroes on the screen in the form of Iron Man, Thor, Incredible Hulk, Captain America, Avengers and soon to be Guardians Of The Galaxy, and Ant-Man. WB/DC has made live action since 1978 and has only been concentrating on Superman, Batman, and a failed Green Lantern a mediocre Watchmen and a bunch of flicks from their imprints labels.

I think what he's saying is that is would be the first mainstream female and black superheroes on film that would be successful (which is not actually true, considering Blade).

And finally, someone on this site who actually agrees with me that the Watchmen movie is not that good.

"Who the [frick] is Fantomah? Also who is Falcon? We talking the one in Cap 2? If so what about Blade?

Also quit [frick]ing bringing up how WBs has owned DC and haven't done shit. Was there a Cap movie before the one by Marvel Studios? Yes and it [frick]ing sucks. Was there a Hulk movie before TIH? Yes and that [frick]ing sucked. Quit [frick]ing saying shit about DC because I can turn it around and say the same thing about Marvel."

1. They're both who I just described. Fantomah is the first female superhero and Falcon from Marvel Comics is the first African-American superhero.

2. Oh wow, KUTZ used the F-word. You bad now. LMAO.
And it still stands, Marvel Studios has yet to make a movie that was a commercial, financial, and critical failure. WB/DC on the other hand doesn't have to same claim. Sorry to break it you since you're a DC Fanboy, but get over yourself, tough guy. It's facts.

I've been saying for years that the key to making a Wonder Woman movie is to not treat her as a superhero but as a warrior. In Thor's movie and in the Avengers he wasn't treated like a superhero like the others were he was treated as a warrior who had come to earth to help. She also should definitely not wear her original costume there should be a version of it that looks like a cross between Xena, a gladiator, and her original costume.

No one cared about CBM's when Blade came out? If it wasn't for Blade we wouldn't have all the great CBM's we have now.
