RUMOR: Could We See All Six James Bonds Appear At The 85th Academy Awards?
A new rumor has surfaced suggesting that Sean Connery has been offered to make an appearance at the James Bond celebration at the Oscars this year, while the other five actors who have played 007 have all been invited as well. Read on for details.
Last week, it was announced that a special James Bond tribute will be held at the 85th Academy Awards on February 24th. Now, a rumor has surfaced that the tribute will feature most, if not all, of the actors who have previously played 007. According to Daily Record, all six actors who have played James Bond - Sean Connery, Sir Roger Moore, George Lazenby, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and current 007 Daniel Craig - have been invited to appear at the 50th anniversary tribute. Due to his issues with the Bond producers, Connery has been unwilling to attend these sort of events. However, the draw of the Oscars may be enough for him to make an appearance. "Sir Sean has been invited to take to the stage along with Daniel and the other 007s. As yet, we’ve not had a no from him. Normally he is quick to turn things down," an Oscar source tells the UK tabloid. "Sean’s relationship with the Oscars is good and we’re hoping he’ll appear. His issues with the Bond producers are not our business and we hope he will overlook that as we pay tribute to what he has done. It would be magnificent to see him up there with the other actors – and quite a coup." Additionally, Adele may appear to perform her Bond theme "Skyfall", the theme song for the 23rd Bond film of the same name. Keep in mind that this has yet to be officially confirmed, and could very well be false. Stay tuned to CBM for more info.
