NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Actually it did sound a bit strange as his last 4 flicks have been Warners and so are his next 2.
But this was the best news since Del Toro's Dark Universe.
Snyder doing a Star Wars spin-off movie woulda been a juicy slice of fried gold. Thought it was too good to be true.

Yeah,we are supposed to believe that Snyder's rep could be lying about his involvement with Star Wars but not that Vulture was pulling this rumor out of it's ass.

@Farkosaurus... I thought the same thing. It seems to be an error only on the frontpage. Double negative

Look,I don't doubt Snyder was on the list of visionary directors to tackle a Star Wars spinoff. He may even have been hit up by Disney for ideas of where he might go with it if given the gig.I just don't see how WB would let one of its golden boys get snatched away by Disney when he could be doing a Man of Steel sequel or Justice League itself.

Zack Snyder is the most unreliable director in Hollywood. "I will not direct Watchmen", "I will not direct Superman", "Zod is not the villain of Man of Steel". And we all know the truth now.

@Blkyank

Yep!
Totally agree!

I think WB (& to some digree SONY & PARAMOUNT) don't easily let go of their directors!
NOLAN, AFFLECK & SNYDER along with Del Toro & Jackson are WB life lines! They do support their director well & develop them & they are loyal too!

Doesn't mean that Snyder working for Disney is any kind of disloyalty but since currently at Hollywood BoxOffice it's WB vs DISNEY & no one else is even close!
WB won't let their developed Director let go while he's post - producing MOS & surely (& hopefully) its sequel & who knows even JL!!

Look at Nolan; he dragged WB into a Paramount owned project; & as Paramount would like to work with him, they'll be ok to share revenue with WB as Nolan wants to keep WB his home!

& at this peak of Hollywood supremacy; with Disney, & WB being only challenger, they'll never let go there Blue-Eyed Bankable directors!
& plus Disney is quite the opposite on working with directors!!

Don't buy that Snyder will work on anything Disney; especially he's busy with 2 hot properties of WB on his shoulders & he's got to fvcking deliver to them first!!!

I had the weirdest dream the other night that Seth McFarlene had been named director of Episode VII... yeah, key word here being weird.

I really wonder who it is at this point, it seems like it'll go to either the most out-of-ballpark choice or an up-and-coming unknown.

If Snyder is involved, it will be all sugar and no content...why not re-hire Lucas, then...crap.
