In an in-depth interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Oscar nominated actor Hugh Jackman talks about his return as Logan/Wolverine in the highly anticipated X-Men: Days Of Future Past. According to the site, Jackman (who will next be seen as the iconic mutant in July 26th's The Wolverine) is not committed to any more films in the long-running franchise after the Bryan Singer-directed sequel, and even that came rather suddenly. "I first heard about it around October or November [2012]. I was literally finishing The Wolverine and dreaming about lasagna, and about three weeks before the end, they told me. There was no way I was not going to be part of that." THR also says that Jackman's role in Days Of Future Past will be "large", and that he'll be reunited with many members of the original X-Men cast. He then says that he has yet to read a finished script, and that he has only seen an eight-page synopsis. For much more from the Les Miserables star, click the source link below.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin and Shawn Ashmore. The film is set to hit theaters July 18th, 2014.

I mean he is a character in the actual story.
Hellsing - 2/13/2013, 9:49 AM
8 page synopsis! [frick]ing hell.
JatevinM - 2/13/2013, 9:50 AM
I really want to see more from this movie.
Hellsing - 2/13/2013, 9:51 AM
totally unrelated but has anyone on here read James Camerons treatment of Spidey, because after reading it I couldn't tell if it was bad or good or both. Left me confused although the action/set piece scenes sounded insane.
soberchimera - 2/13/2013, 9:59 AM
I wouldn't be surprised if Singer made Wolverine the time-traveler.
luckylu - 2/13/2013, 10:02 AM
no shit. singer has a huge boner for him. put him in a [frick]ing mask already!
Hellsing - 2/13/2013, 10:02 AM
@soberchimera isn't that a given, Kitty might also get to time travel but that depends on Ellen Page I heard she's quite moody lil one.
BlueHawaiiSurfer - 2/13/2013, 10:03 AM
I have ZERO faith in Singer to produce anything worth watching where this franchise is concerned...hopefully something will change one day.
SigmaCenturion - 2/13/2013, 10:03 AM
No surprise there all the x-men films have had wolverine in them in some way or another. Plus he is kind of one of the key components along with kitty pryde in the story.
Hellsing - 2/13/2013, 10:03 AM
@Gusto is that your daughter, if so then I am totally [frick]ing her tonight.
thewolfx - 2/13/2013, 10:05 AM

Sweet! Jackman as Wolverine is one of the best things ever. As long as they stay faithful to the original story, this has the potential to be awesome!
PersonaPostOvo - 2/13/2013, 10:07 AM
With all these cast members from X-Men First Class to original X-Men films it has me thinking...

We're going to need a bigger Batcave.

Nivekian - 2/13/2013, 10:08 AM
Yeah, awesome... more Jimmy Wolverine. Yay.
DaenerysTargaryen - 2/13/2013, 10:09 AM
Oh great another Wolverine and Friends movie. You know what...one of the reasons I loved X Men First class was because it wasn't all about Wolverine! T_T
TheAbomination - 2/13/2013, 10:11 AM
I'll start caring when the teaser trailer for Wolverine comes out.
Hellsing - 2/13/2013, 10:13 AM
@KingPatel sorry to burst your bubble no CBM is really faithful they all diverge or put there own spin on shit. They should respectful rather than faithful when there putting there own spin on it. So we can avoid further Deadpool catastrophes (see: XMO:Wolverine, or rather don't see it).

I'm sure we'll get some timey wimey shenanigans and maybe Sentinals but that depends how much fox is willing to spend.

And I can't be the only one who thinks Jack the Giant Killer/Slayer/[frick]er looks pretty terrible.
GodzillaKart - 2/13/2013, 10:14 AM
highly anticipated
Hellsing - 2/13/2013, 10:15 AM
@ClaireLannister2016 Yet if you ask the general audience(hate that term) the most memorable moment is either Wolverines F-bomb or seeing Fassbenders HUGE...oh shit wrong movie.
SuperSomething616 - 2/13/2013, 10:17 AM
Wow didn't see that one coming....I liked X-men: First Class because it wasn't about Wolverine....that was nice while it lasted...
GodzillaKart - 2/13/2013, 10:18 AM
I like Jackman, but I'm ready for that role to be recast. It is time.
JoeMomma29 - 2/13/2013, 10:20 AM
Yup I agree all these Wolverine movies are getting old!
GUNSMITH - 2/13/2013, 10:22 AM
HONESTLY I WISH THE MOVIE SUIT REFLECTED THE COMICS BETTER..IT'S PRACTICAL TO HAVE A GUY WHOS A SCRAPPER IN PROTECTIVE LEATHER..BUT DUDE...IT'S WOLVERINE,

HE CAN FACE THE HULK WITHOUT SLEEVES, WITHOUT BODY ARMOR, THE GUY'S BONES ARE UNBREAKABLE AND YOU CAN SHOOT THE GUY AND HE'LL HEAL FASTER THAN YOU CAN TAKE A PISS....

FANS LOVE WHEN THE LIVE ATION NODS OR EVEN COMES CLOSE OR CLOSER TO THE COMIC BOOKS..

...YES SPANDEX WOULD LOOK STUPID, BUT IF YOUR A DIRECTOR AND EVEN CONSIDERING SPANDEX INSTEAD OF WORKING WITH THE LOOK AND COMING TO SOMETHING THAT WORKS BUT STILL HOLDS THE FAMILIAR LOOK OF THE SOURCE MATERIAL YOU SHOULD BE SLAPPED.

GUNSMITH - 2/13/2013, 10:24 AM
ACTION NOT ATION UGG SPELL CHECK DANG

Is this the kind of Wolverine you people actually want for the movie? Cause if it is...well prepare that this is the might be the best you can hope: http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2010/100/1/d/Wolverine_Redesign_by_DanielHeard.jpg

Also, could you tell me that is it now Wolverine of Iron man that has become the "Batman of the Marvel".
TheBeard - 2/13/2013, 10:31 AM
If this ends up being anything but Wolverine and frends through time i will be shocked.
AgeofApocalypse - 2/13/2013, 10:33 AM
Gee, a large role for Wolverine in an X-Men flick. Go figure.
Ocelot - 2/13/2013, 10:38 AM
sigh, any hope I had for this movie has just been flushed down the toilet, was really looking foward to this movie, but now we're gonna get another wolverine and friends movie, how many movies is that now 5, singer can [frick] off, wish vaughn was still doing this movie,
Hellsing - 2/13/2013, 10:47 AM
@Gusto I'll have them both.

Well X-Men First Class was Magneto and...well Magneto. But I guess that was because of Fassbenders HUGE screen presence(and penis) that overshadowed rest of the cast.
Mrcool210 - 2/13/2013, 10:50 AM
if its larger then his role in the other xmen movies then im really worried
ralfinader - 2/13/2013, 10:57 AM
"He then says that he has yet to read a finished script, and that he has only seen an eight-page synopsis."

Script will be done after they finish filming.
DukeAcureds - 2/13/2013, 11:06 AM
This should really be a two-parter. And it should be epic.
I'm hoping they're not gonna go the Ultimate Cable route, though, by having Logan be Cable. He needs to be Nathan/Nate Summers. It would tie everything together, by focusing on the Summers line. With a Rachel Grey/Summers we could have Franklin Richards, which ties it into the FF movies and we could even have Corsair, further into the past. The First Class team already have Havok, so to focus on the Summer's line would be the best segueway into giving the fans what they realy want to see from the First Class timeline most of all; Scott and Jean!
thatiscrazy - 2/13/2013, 11:15 AM
the folks at fox just don't get why the marvel movies are so good and theirs suck ass. when are they going to get a short convening bad ass to play the part? instead of a tall thin opera singer?
InfiniteMonkey - 2/13/2013, 11:28 AM
Another Wolverine show then? Pfft.
typicalfanboy - 2/13/2013, 11:29 AM
For some reason this make me think of the cable arc in ultimate xmen. Where an aged wolverine, now called cable, goes back in time to prevent something(apocalypse)
typicalfanboy - 2/13/2013, 11:33 AM
@Dukeacureds-
What if Corsair sent his sons back in time, and that could explain why havoc was an xman before cyclops.
Pharaoh - 2/13/2013, 11:33 AM
logical as an actor in this movie that his role would be the largest,. Professor X has 2 actors playing him so obviously Patrick Stewarts role won't be as big as Hugh Jackmans since he is the only Wolverine. The same applies for Magneto, Beast, Mystique etc

It doesn't neccessarily mean Wolverine has a larger role in the movie than Professor X or any of the others only that Hugh Jackman has a larger role than Patrick Stewart or Michael Fassbender
Azazel1 - 2/13/2013, 11:34 AM
Why do these films always have to focus so much on Wolverine??? How about focusing on Cyclops? Let's see some more Collussus maybe, what about Angel???
