Sounds dumb. Wasn't that guy who said Avengers' directing sucked?

@Cyber

As a cinematographer, he had problems with the cinematography of Avengers, and then that started a stupid fan war with people thinking that Pfister was hating on Avengers for no reason but to side with TDKR.

If it sounds dumb, fine, but don't say it sounds dumb because of his opinions of Avengers alone

If he's as talented a director as he is a cinematographer, I'm all in. I have seen a lot of interviews with this guy, and I think he's going to be mean ass director like Cameron and Bay. Yelling and shit.

Can't wait. I loved all of his cinematography for Nolan's films and Moneyball. I have high hopes for this.

So they're sandwiching it in-between Captain America 2 and TASM 2? Fine by me.

Story idea sounds a bit far fetched nowadays - it sounds more like a 70s sci-fi movie. And I'm not sure what to think of this movie or even of Pfister himself, because he does come across as quite arrogant and rude in interviews. While I agree that The Avengers was no cinematic masterpiece, his criticism of the people working on the film was both harsh and uncalled for, especially since his own cinematography was considerably weaker in TDKR compared to his previous work.

I don't know. He's attracting a lot of talent, so I guess that bodes well. In all likelihood, I will end up watching the movie, and who knows, maybe I'll like it too. But the guy still comes across as kind of a jerk.

I rewatched The Avengers and I can see where Pfister is coming from on a cinematography standpoint. The cinematography in The Avengers was just weird. For example, the scene where Captain America is being told about the Chitauri holding hostages is shot entirely from the point of view from a mirror on a motocycle. Why? What's the point? There are more shots and angles in the movie that felt odd to me. Needless to say, the cinematography in The Avengers was not very good.
