Last year, it was reported that director Jon M. Chu has signed on to helm a reboot of the Masters Of The Universe franchise for Sony. Richard Wenk (The Expendables 2) is working on the script. Additionally, Dolph Lundgren (who previously starred as He-Man in the first live action film) shared his interest in making some sort of appearance in the new movie. While promoting his new film, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Chu was asked if he would be up for a Lundgren cameo in his Masters Of The Universe film. "I don’t know if Dolph Lundgren is around or what he’s doing but, yeah, I think that could be some fun if we could find a way. I hope he still has the loin cloth and the long hair and everything." No casting, production or release date info for Masters Of The Universe have been released yet. The story follows "a young prince who becomes a warrior and sets out to defeat the evil Skeletor and fulfill his destiny as He-Man." Would you like to see Dolph Lundgren appear in the movie?

Hellsing - 3/18/2013, 10:08 AM
I remember reading a version of Master of the Universe when it was at WB a lot of the stuff was reimagined but damn it kicked ass, it could have been an awesome mixture of sci-fi/fantasy. Shame that got scrapped who's writing the script for this one.
Hellsing - 3/18/2013, 10:11 AM
I think the script I read was written by the dude who also wrote Super Max with Goyer not sure though.
SyamAgsa14 - 3/18/2013, 10:18 AM
Jon Chu is terrible. My little sister can direct better movies than him.
TheOneAboveAll - 3/18/2013, 10:22 AM

AlexDeLarge87 - 3/18/2013, 10:33 AM
Could be cool.

If the role is small i mean.
GUNSMITH - 3/18/2013, 10:33 AM
KING RANDOR
AlexDeLarge87 - 3/18/2013, 10:37 AM
This movie needs to be Lord of the Rings big by the way. And the monster characters needs to be made with combination of practical and CGI effects. Ala Hellboy.
hope420 - 3/18/2013, 10:37 AM
I'd love to see Dolph play Keldor/Skeletor! He's got the size!!!
fettastic - 3/18/2013, 10:38 AM
He-Man and the Mullet Masters of the Universe!
AlexDeLarge87 - 3/18/2013, 10:38 AM
Oh and our hero needs to have the muscle power of Superman.
shawnb - 3/18/2013, 10:38 AM
He can be in a flash back sequence as King Greyskull!
ComicFan1134 - 3/18/2013, 10:42 AM
DUDE!! are You Freaking High?? No Way, Dolph Lundgren Was A Putz, Have Him Cameo As Orko's Girlfriend!!
dellamorte1872 - 3/18/2013, 10:42 AM
I'm a supporter of this franchise/property so hopefully we will get a better movie than COX and the electric accordion thing it was so 80s gotta love it for what it is haha
dellamorte1872 - 3/18/2013, 10:43 AM
I'd like him to be a cameo not a huge one like say prince Adams father
crashrendar - 3/18/2013, 10:49 AM
King randor
sKeemAn - 3/18/2013, 10:51 AM
A Dolph cameo is necessary for this movie. Him as the King would be really cool. He-Man should be like a viking from the 13th warrior.
USAgent - 3/18/2013, 10:53 AM
King Randor, nuff said
ElDarkside - 3/18/2013, 10:55 AM
Absolutely loved this movie growin up and had all the action figures, castle grey skull and them all.

If this movie is done right it would be awesome. I agree @hellaing that it could be a huge scifi/fantasy epic and bring he-man back to cartoons, etc much is the same way ninja turtles, n Star Wars clone wars...
StrangerX - 3/18/2013, 10:57 AM
No not Randor he should be King Grayskull
In fact the whole movie should be based around why He Man calls out BY THE POWER OF GRAYSKULL. We need to see preternia and Hiss for th beginning.
Jollem - 3/18/2013, 10:58 AM
Floke - 3/18/2013, 10:59 AM
He should be lord of the dance...

mykanmur - 3/18/2013, 11:01 AM
Dolph as King Grayskull in a flashback might work. Of course, he said he's not interested in stripping down - so some redesign of the character is needed. King Randor however is an ongoing supporting cast member, which is more than a cameo.

As for Chu's directing abilities, I'm not going to judge him until I see a film that is comparable to the MOTU movie. If G.I. Joe 2 does well, then I'll have faith that MOTU is in good hands.
LEEE777 - 3/18/2013, 11:15 AM
Nomis @ : D
Taboggon - 3/18/2013, 11:17 AM
Hell yeah Dolph should cameo,

I hope GI Joe 2 is at least a serviceable movie, and that Chu can do something cool with MOTU if it goes ahead
RexDartEskimoSpy - 3/18/2013, 11:36 AM
Greyskull. Duh.
Danbojohnj - 3/18/2013, 11:48 AM

superbigguy32 - 3/18/2013, 12:13 PM
He could be SHE-RA!!!! LMAO, I'm just playing.
FanBoyBlack - 3/18/2013, 12:17 PM
Why not... he could be King Grayskull. I don't see that being an issue. Especially if his part is limited.
InfiniteMonkey - 3/18/2013, 12:31 PM
If Chu wants him in, I'd say Orko.
sephiroth211 - 3/18/2013, 12:36 PM
InfiniteMonkey: Orko ftw!!

jerryblake - 3/18/2013, 1:29 PM
bring Langella back too. Best Skeletor ever ...
Khan - 3/18/2013, 1:32 PM
Jon Chu seems like the nicest guy in the world.
kevberg - 3/18/2013, 1:39 PM
Dolph as KING GRAYSKULL. Ina flashback ...that would be cool.
SlaveMasterFlexXx - 3/18/2013, 1:42 PM
Can't wait for GI Joe and if Dolph is in this I'm in. Also Dolph is still the best Punisher muhahahahahaha
thatiscrazy - 3/18/2013, 1:47 PM
