Yesterday, it was announced by the Michigan Film Office that Transformers 4 will film in Detroit this summer. Included was a plot summary (which you can see below), seemingly giving us our first details for what to expect from the Michael Bay-directed fourquel's story. However, Paramount has told Bleeding Cool that this "information previously posted is inaccurate." Production has also been confirmed to take place in Chicago, and it has been suggest that it could be set in China (which may not be the case now).

As humanity picks up the pieces, following the conclusion of Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Autobots and Decepticons have all but vanished from the face of the planet. However, a group of powerful, ingenious businessman and scientists attempt to learn from past Transformer incursions and push the boundaries of technology beyond what they can control – all while an ancient, powerful Transformer menace sets Earth in his crosshairs. The epic adventure and battle between good and evil, freedom and enslavement ensues.

Transformers 4 stars Mark Wahlberg and Jack Reynor. The film is set to hit theaters June 27th, 2014.

Meanwhile, a bunch of government dumbasses will try to force the Autobots off the planet because the Decepticons said they would retreat if the Autobots left. However, these people were so stupid that they didn't realize the Decepticons cannot be trusted. Mostly because the word "deception" is in their name.

You know how most movies only have one maybe two comic relief characters? Bay doesn't do that. He has so many annoying comic relief characters that if you were to ride a bus with them, you would circumcise yourself with a weed wacker. Don't believe me? Here are all the comic relief characters from Transformers 2:

1) Skids
2) Mudflap
3) Humping dog #1
4) Humping dog #2
5) Leo
6) Sam's idiot mother
7) Sam's idiot father
8) Perverted college professor played by Rainn Wilson
9) Simmons
10) Offensive black guy with buck teeth at butcher shop
11) Wheelie
12) Jetfire

Transformers 1-4 Plots: Give fanboys lots of CGI battles and some chick running in slo mo then count money from fanboys.

If you think about it, The Transformers films were like a heist.
1. Lure weak minded people into theater with a movie about mindless CGI battles and a babe running in slo mo.
2. Take money.
3. Count money.
4. Laugh ass off.
5. Repeat cycle.

If the plot that was leaked is "inaccurate"....then why are they coming out to tell us that? Wouldn't that benefit the studio to mislead people and surprise us with the result?
Something tells me that it is actually accurate and they didn't want people to know....so now they are just saying it's inaccurate.

They always say that every time the plot gets released. Actually, I guess it's usually Michael Bay that says that.
kman - 3/21/2013, 3:49 PM
P.S. The Transformer films actually have plots?

To be honest I am really sad to see Michael Bay to fall like this. He made THE ROCK BAD BOYS ARMAGEDDON but I did enjoy the first movie and I am 50/50 to see the 4th

I'll give credit to the actions scenes, but the shit that happens around it is terrible. I really enjoyed the first one, the second one I try to forget, and the third one could have been a one hour movie.
