I don't know, it could be cool and all, but I just have no faith in game to movie adaptions...

This movie has a decent chance at being the first good video game movie, if only because the source material had decent, fleshed-out characters.

I'm hoping for a WWE movie.

I've been waiting for both a GOW & Halo movie for ages, but I'm more of a bigger GOW fan, so, if that gets done first, I'm all for it!

GOW & Halo are both gonna need shit loads of money pumped into & invested in them though for all the SFX, Set Pieces & over all feel for the films.

I hope whoever is cast as Marcus & Dom have a great chemistry & that when it comes time for Dom's suicidal / sacrifice death scene it is a heart wrencher & makes you feel for the characters, it was superbly done in the games (Even though I hated Dom dying).

Also, Tai's death needs to be a tear jerking scene too.

Bring on a franchise of GOW Moves NOW!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully for the film route, they adapt GOW Judgment as the first film, then GOW, GOW 2 & GOW 3, keep everything in order. I hate stories being made / told & then doing prequels.

I'm cautiously optimistic about a Gears game. On the one hand, it'd be cool and Gears is one of my favorite gaming franchises. But on the other most video game movies suck, so I'm not holding my breath.

BTW Gears is a third person shooter, not first person.

If theres one game Id like to see get made into a live action movie its Metal Gear Solid. the story, characters are very complex and the cutscenes are so long that most of the time it feels like a movie instead of a game. I always imagined it be a great movie, if its done right obviously.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Hey! They should make a movie from another video game too...hmm...like Doom! Or Prince of Persia! Or Bloodrayne! Or Postal! Or Far Cry! Or Alone in the Dark! Or Final Fantasy! Or Super Mario Bros! Or Resident Evil! Or Max Payne! Or Silent Hill!

You see what I'm getting at? This movie will suck. I love the games, but there is no chance this will be any good.

@FlyingSeel - I thought Silent Hill and Max Payne were good movies. Not faithfull, but good. Prince of Persia was entertaining.

Besides we're in a CBM site. You remember how bad or formulaic CBM used to be, and some can break free from that.

These movies can also enhance the genre. I'm hoping the Assassins Creed one is any good.

I own the first game, and I played the second one. I did lose interest in the series, but I have great memories of playing the first one with my friends.

I hope this movie is as badass as the video games!

I Think Jason David Frank (Tommy The Green Power Ranger) Would be Perfect for Fenix. If you have seen him recently, He is HUGE, he can Fight, he can be directed to Act better.

as much as I love gears, this will probably never get made unless they radically tone down the film

@TheHeat agree think it has a better plot for a film, could a new alien type franchise, need to see issac clark taking down necromorphs like how sigourney weaves does to xenomorphs
