how the hell Peter Dinklage has been rumored to be play Bolivar Trask. Bolivar Trask was in X-Men: The Last Stand and he was played by actor Bill Duke who is African American.

Bolivar trask was not in the last stand. Just because they called one throwaway character "trask" doesn't mean he's bolivar.
gambgel
gambgel - 5/28/2013, 12:14 PM
yeah, he was called "Secretary Trask"

so even if Ratner wanted Bill to be Bolivar Trask in another movie, that character just wasnt the real Bolivar Trask from the comics and tv shows. so to hell with their intentions with Last Stand.

jazzman,
People (including industry insiders as well as fans) have been speculating on his role being Trask or Puck from the beginning. When it was stated that he would be a villain, Puck was immediately disregarded as a possibility and Trask became the frontrunner of possible characters he'd be portraying.

Add the moustache from the recent twitter pic of Dinklage and Singer going over the script and it's hard to imagine him as anyone other than Trask.

The fact that Bill Duke was formerly Trask in a previous film is of no concern to Singer as his film will probably be dealing with parallel universes/time travel in an effort to merge First Class's backstory with the previous trilogy and X-men films.

Will people please stop bringing up Bill Duke? His character in The Last Stand could have been called anything else because it had nothing to do with the Sentinels.

oh, Fox did a trading card of Bolivar Trask, what a great work!

whatever, Singer will use the character as an actual villain, not like any random secretary Trask with no connection to sentinels.

@jazzman that character was only ever called 'Trask', plus Fox are constantly recycling their characters (see: Emma Frost, Quicksilver (cameo in Origins), Beast (including his X2 cameo), Sebastain Shaw (including his X2 cameo), etc.) so this could just be more of the same.

"I'm here to fix continuity," said Bryan Singer.
"How?" asked everyone.
"Well, I'll have a white dwarf play an established African American senator as an evil scientist, then I'll have other characters established in that same movie reprise their roles and then I'll magically undo X-Men 3," replied Singer.
"Okay, as long as Wolverine mostly cries," demanded everyone.
"He's the best there is at what he does, and what he does is cry and do dance-action poses!"
"Hurrah, this will truly be better than the Avengers, so long as their there's still terrible wire work!" cheered everyone.

darkspark - "So an African American man can't have a white midget son? Is that what people are saying with all this X-3 hate?"

They're from different time periods. If Delinkage's Trask was around the time of X3 he would be slightly older than Bill Dukes Trask

Delinkage was hired because he's famous due to Game of Thrones and Singer just want to be in on the act too. He hires actors due to how well established they are rather than whether they resemble the character from the comic book. Like First Class Singer is relying on the fact that people have the memory span of a flea.
